Track slipping and you don't know the spec? Lost the original manual before first service? Get the official Kubota SVL95-2s operator manual. Every torque spec, every safety check.

Every daily check, control function, and maintenance interval Kubota sets for the SVL95-2s lives in these 143 pages. The instrument panel and controls section walks through each dashboard indicator, from DPF regeneration status to DEF/AdBlue level warnings, and 10 pages of troubleshooting charts back it up with a full error code list. Maintenance coverage runs from 50-hour intervals out to 8,000-hour milestones, with procedures for air cleaner servicing, hydraulic oil changes, track tension checks, and cold-weather startup. Capacities are spelled out where you need them: fill the fuel tank to 111 L, bring engine oil up to 11 L with a filter change, and torque the track adjustment grease fitting to 98-108 N-m when checking tension. When the machine is down, bookmark navigation and keyword search drop you onto the right section without flipping through paper.

Kubota SVL95-2s Common Problems This Manual Covers

Engine suddenly cuts out or loses power mid-job with the DEF warning light on p. 127

Check the DEF/AdBlue tank level first. Top it off to the full 18.8 L capacity listed on page 100, then look at the DEF filter cover and torque it to 5.5 to 6.5 N-m so it seals. Restart and confirm the warning light goes out.

Manual Section: Engine Suddenly Stops
Drive system clunks and tracks slip when pushing hard in mud p. 128

Clear all debris from the undercarriage, then measure track tension clearance at the center roller. Turn the grease fitting until that clearance reads 20 to 30 mm, the range given on page 107. Run the machine forward and back to confirm the tracks engage.

Manual Section: Drive System Malfunctions
Hydraulic controls dead and the boom won't lift after startup, operator seated p. 128

Confirm the hydraulic unlock switch is pressed. Read the sight glass to check oil is at the proper level, up to the 68 L system capacity on page 116. Then check the hoses for leaks and make sure the armrest is fully down.

Manual Section: Hydraulic System Malfunctions
Exhaust turns dark with thick black smoke from the muffler under heavy load p. 127

Inspect the air cleaner element for clogging and check fuel quality. Cross-check the maintenance schedule on page 89 to see whether routine service is current. Book the DPF cleaning due at 3000 hours, noted on page 90, to clear the exhaust.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the recommended service intervals?

Service intervals are tiered. Daily checks (every 10 hours) cover the radiator, coolant, fuel, engine oil, DEF/AdBlue®, hydraulic oil, and greasing. At every 50 service hours, drain the fuel tank and check track tension. Major work falls at 250 hours (engine oil change, air cleaner element replacement), 500 hours (fuel filter cartridge), 1000 hours (hydraulic oil change), 1500 hours (injector tip check), 3000 hours (DPF cleaning), and 8000 hours (DEF/AdBlue® tank filter replacement). Every two years, the radiator coolant and various hoses get replaced.

What fluids and capacities does this machine require?

Capacities break down like this: fuel tank 111 L, engine oil 11 L with filter, hydraulic tank 38.1 L, and total hydraulic system 68 L. The DEF/AdBlue® tank holds 18.8 L, and the drive unit takes about 1.6 L. For engine oil, Kubota specifies API classification CJ-4 in SAE viscosities 10W, 20W, 30, 40, 50, or 15W-40 to match ambient temperature. Gear oil should be SAE 75, 80, 90, or 140; hydraulic oil ISO 32, 46, or 68. Fuel must be Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel [<0.0015% (15 ppm)] with a minimum cetane number of 45.

How to troubleshoot engine won't start?

A no-start usually traces to one of a few causes. If the fuel is too viscous, check the tank and filter, remove impurities, and replace the filter if needed. With air or water in the fuel system, drain the water, check the fuel pipe joint bolts for looseness, and purge the system (page 95). A blown fuse needs replacing with one of the same capacity. If oil viscosity is too high, run the engine block heater (option); if the battery is nearly dead, recharge it.

What are the hydraulic system specifications?

For attachments, maximum theoretical displacement is 90 L/min on Standard Flow and 156 L/min on High-Flow. System pressure peaks at 24.5 MPa (250 kgf/cm²).

What torque specifications are listed?

Three torque figures come up in maintenance. The cab stopper pin tightens to 77.5 to 90.2 N-m. When adjusting tracks, set the grease fitting between 98 to 108 N-m. The DEF/AdBlue® filter cover calls for 5.5 to 6.5 N-m.
