This download is the complete SK25SR-2 service set: the 599-page factory Shop Manual plus two Parts Manuals, one for serial range PV08-20001 and up, one for PV09-22001 and up. Check your machine number before ordering parts. The Shop Manual covers one machine and every diesel bolted into it: the 2/3TNE68, 3TNE74, 3TNE78A, 3TNE82A, 3/4TNE82, 3/4TNE84(T), and 3/4TNE88 engines. You get hydraulic circuit diagrams for every function (neutral, travel, slew, boom, arm, and the combined circuits), electric circuit diagrams with harness connection drawings, and a troubleshooting section that walks slow travel, weak slew, and attachment failures back to the guilty component. Cylinder teardown, boom and arm removal, maintenance standards with service limits: it is all here, step by step. Torque the battery terminal to 0.45 kgf-m, then confirm the 3.5L engine oil and 2.7L coolant capacities before you fire it up. No more chasing wiring faults with a multimeter and a prayer. Bookmarked and searchable; jump straight to any circuit on your phone.

Kobelco SK25SR-2 Common Problems This Manual Covers

Kobelco SK25SR-2 pulls to one side during travel, one track weak or dead under load

Check track tension on both sides first; uneven sag makes the machine crab. Confirm the 27 L hydraulic tank is topped up, then measure travel circuit pressure using the test procedures starting on page 63. If one side reads low, work through the travel valve and swivel joint checks on page 481.

Manual Section: Troubleshooting Hydraulic System p. 481
Slow weak digging, boom and arm feel underpowered even at full throttle

Check the accelerator wire adjustment first; a stretched cable keeps the engine off rated speed. Torque the wire locknut to 2.35 kgf-m (17 lbf-ft) as shown on page 68. If engine speed checks out, measure pump pressure with the test procedures starting on page 63, then follow the pump and regulator diagnosis on page 481.

Manual Section: Troubleshooting Hydraulic System p. 481
Engine will not start or cranks slowly, starter just clicks even with a good battery

Check battery terminal torque first; a loose clamp mimics a dead battery. Tighten terminals to 0.45 kgf-m (3.3 lbf-ft) per page 126, then verify the starter B terminal is torqued to 0.9 kgf-m (6.49 lbf-ft), page 131. Still no crank, test the safety relay and starter circuit through the steps beginning on page 489.

Manual Section: Troubleshooting Electrical System p. 489
Engine runs hot on dusty sites, alternator belt squeals and charge light flickers

Inspect the alternator belt and set deflection to 10-15 mm under thumb pressure, spec on page 545. Blow out the radiator fins from the engine side; dusty sites pack them fast. Drain and refill cooling water to the 2.7 L capacity listed on page 28, and replace the air filter element while the panels are off.

Manual Section: Engine p. 545
Swing feels weak and jerky, upper structure groans or chatters mid rotation

Drain a hydraulic oil sample and check it for iron filings; glitter means the slew motor is wearing internally. Time a full 360 degree swing and compare against the 9.4 rpm slewing spec on page 18. If speed is down, follow the slewing troubleshooting procedure starting on page 479 before pulling the motor.

Manual Section: Troubleshooting Hydraulic System p. 479
