The swash plate (5) has 3 planes, A, B and C, as shown in the figure, and it is assembled in such a way that its angle of inclination in the flange holder (15) can varied by two steel balls (14). When the 2- speed control valve is switched to the 1st speed side, the swash plate control piston chamber is connected to tank port and the swash plate (5) is stabilized at plane A, forming swash plate angle a , by the piston assembly (16) and the force of the springs (17), (18), achieving 1st speed (low speed) motor rotation. When the 2- speed control valve is switched to 2nd speed, the swash plate control piston chamber (27) is connected to the motor drive Reduction Gear Operation The reduction gear consists of a 2-stage planetary gear mechanism. The drive gear (19) is engaged with the 1st stage planetary gear A (20). The 2nd stage sun gear (21) is engaged with the holder (22) and 2nd stage planetary gear B (23) and the shaft (4) of planetary gear B (23) is fastened to the flange holder (24). Planetary gears A (20) and B (23) are also engaged with the ring gear (housing) (25). Driving force from the hydraulic motor is transmitted to the drive gear and the speed is reduced by each of the gears. The driving force is then transmitted to the ring gear (housing) (25) via planetar)’ gear B (23), fastened to the flange holder (24) at the final stage. (Torque is also transmitted from the 1st stage planetary gear A (20).) Furthermore, the direction of output rotation is opposite that of input rotation.
