Cut height steps down on one side
A stripe that sits lower on one side usually means the deck has drifted out of level rather than a bad blade. The side to side leveling procedure squares the deck again, and the front to rear slope check on the same pages calls for a rear trunion rod length of 11-1/2 inch (29.2 cm).

For an engine that will not start, starts hard or fails to keep running, the troubleshooting table lists an empty fuel tank, a fuel valve turned off, the choke not on, a dirty air cleaner, a loose or disconnected spark plug wire, a pitted, fouled or incorrectly gapped spark plug, dirt in the fuel filter, dirt, water or stale fuel (contact an authorized service dealer), incorrect fuel in the tank and low crankcase oil (page 39).
