Part of the New Holland Repair Manuals.
This is the factory repair manual for the New Holland TJ275, TJ325, TJ375, and TJ450 articulated 4WD tractors. It covers both engines used in the line - the CDC 6TAA-8304/9004 in the TJ275/325 and the Cummins QSX 15 in the TJ375/450 - plus both transmissions: the 24-speed constant-mesh manual and the 16-speed full powershift. You get the schematic foldouts that matter on these tractors, split by serial number: manual transmission before/after RVS002701 and hydraulics before/after RVS001801. Sections run from engine and transmission through PTO, brakes, Megaflow hydraulics, articulation frames, steering, axles, cab climate control (including ATC), and full electrical schematics with harness and connector detail. Torque spec tables for standard, metric, and hydraulic fittings are up front.

New Holland TJ275, TJ325, TJ375, TJ450 Common Problems This Manual Covers
Powershift shifts harsh, hangs between gears, or drops to a limp state in the field
Start in Section 21 Transmission, powershift and transmission control chapters, to check clutch pressures and control calibration, then use the Section 55 electrical schematics to test shift solenoid circuits and connectors before condemning the transmission itself.
Manual Section: Section 21 - TransmissionSlop or clunking at the articulation joint, tractor wanders under drawbar load
Section 39 Frames covers articulation and frame service, including pivot inspection and repair, and Section 41 covers the articulated steering system so you can separate worn pivot pins from steering valve and cylinder problems before splitting the tractor.
Manual Section: Section 39 - FramesHydraulic remotes slow or weak when pulling a big air cart, pressure will not hold spec
Section 35 Hydraulics covers the standard, high-output, and Megaflow pump circuits with test procedures, so you can verify flow and the 2900 PSI system pressure at the remotes and isolate a worn pump from a leaking remote valve section.
Manual Section: Section 35 - HydraulicsEngine running hot or losing power at rated 2000 RPM during heavy tillage
Section 10 Engine covers the cooling package and air induction for both the CDC 6TAA and Cummins QSX 15, walking through radiator service, charge air and intake restriction checks, and fuel system service to find the restriction before it costs a head gasket.
Manual Section: Section 10 - EngineFrequently Asked Questions
My TJ has the powershift and it is acting up. Does this manual cover diagnosing it, or do I need a dealer laptop?
The powershift on these tractors is electronically controlled, but this is an early-2000s system - there is no touchscreen menu to pull codes from. The manual gives you the transmission control section (Section 21) plus the full electrical schematics in Section 55, so you diagnose the old way: trace the circuit, check the solenoids and connectors against the schematic, and verify pressures. That is how the dealer techs did it on these machines too.
The wiring diagrams for these tractors changed mid-production. Which version is in here?
Both. The schematic foldouts are split at the serial breaks that matter: manual transmission schematics before and after RVS002701, and hydraulic schematics before and after RVS001801. Check your serial number plate first, then pull the correct foldout. Using the wrong-side schematic is how people end up chasing wires that do not exist on their tractor.
Does it cover both engines? I have a TJ450 with the Cummins QSX 15.
Yes. Section 10 covers the CDC 6TAA-8304/9004 used in the TJ275 and TJ325 and the Cummins QSX 15 used in the TJ375 and TJ450, including air induction, the fuel system, and the radiator and cooling package. The QSX 15 in the TJ450 is rated 450 HP at 2000 RPM with 1669 lb-ft of peak torque, so cooling system condition matters - the manual covers servicing it.
I need torque specs for wheel hardware and hydraulic fittings. Are the tables in here?
The General section up front carries the standard torque tables for both metric and decimal hardware plus a separate table for hydraulic fitting torques, and Section 44 covers axles, wheels, and duals specifically. On a tractor that can run near 53 000 lb loaded (TJ450 max operating weight), you want the printed spec, not a guess - loose duals on an articulated frame will wallow out a hub fast.
Does it cover the Megaflow hydraulic system and the remote valves?
Yes, Section 35 covers the whole hydraulic package: the standard 40 GPM pump, the optional 55 GPM high-output pump, and the add-on 35 GPM Megaflow pump, plus remote valve service. System pressure spec is 2900 PSI max, steering 2700 PSI, and the section walks through pump and valve service so you can actually verify those numbers instead of guessing why the air drill cart is starving.
