A caster wobbling on worn spindle bushings or a fold cylinder weeping past its seals will park an ST820 precision tillage system right when the ground is ready, and this 230-page Flexi-Coil ST820 service manual PDF (OEM ID NW-010V2) is the factory answer for both. Hydraulic schematics trace every cylinder circuit through the fold and leveling functions, while the wiring diagram and connector service kit instructions cover the electrical side of your remote switches. Troubleshooting tables for the trips, openers, and air system run fault by fault to a fix, and the leveling procedure walks the frame back to true. When you rebuild the trip assemblies, torque the 3/4 inch trip mount v-bolts on 350 lb release trips to 240 N-m (175 lbf-ft), and reject any trip spring shorter than 216 mm (8.5 in). Guessing at trip torque costs shanks. This bookmarked, text-searchable PDF downloads in minutes, so the drill seeds this week, not after the rain.

Flexi-Coil ST820 Common Problems This Manual Covers

Flexi-Coil ST820 floating hitch bushings worn out, hitch clunks and rocks on the drawbar

Inspect the floating hitch hooked to the tractor: pry the drawbar up and down and watch the pivot for slop. Set the space between the bushings and the washers to 2 cm (3/4 inch) as specified on page 81. Replace worn bushings early; once the bore goes oval you are into torch and welder territory.

Manual Section: Mechanical Service p. 81
Hydraulic cylinders won't hold pressure, frame bleeds down overnight in the yard

Check every cylinder for oil weeping past the rod wiper, then raise the frame and watch for drift over ten minutes. Replace seals in any leaking cylinder using the procedure in the Hydraulics section starting on page 125. Torque 1/2 inch nuts to 60 N-m dry from the chart on page 133 during reassembly.

Manual Section: Hydraulics p. 125
Outer tines have excessive play, trip assemblies rattle and shanks wander in the row

Grab each outer tine and rock it; any movement means loose mounts or worn pivots. Torque the 3/4 inch trip mount V-bolts to 240 N-m (175 lbf-ft) on 350 lb trips, or the 7/8 inch bolts to 700 N-m (500 lbf-ft) on 550 lb trips, per page 55. Replace bushings that stay loose after torquing.

Manual Section: Adjustments p. 55
Wheel bolts keep loosening on road transport, wheels wobble and shimmy between fields

Torque all wheel bolts to 170 N-m (125 lbf-ft) after the first hour of transport and again each season, using the tire and torque table on page 84. Check tire pressure against that same table before every road move, and hold speed under the 30 km/hr limit listed on page 12.

Manual Section: Mechanical Service p. 84
Shovels won't enter hard ground, rear rows cutting shallow with ridging between passes

Check frame level first; a nose-high machine keeps the rear shovels riding out of the ground. Run the leveling procedure in the Adjustments section starting on page 39, and keep exposed thread on the depth link adjuster under 146 mm per page 45. Work through the mechanical troubleshooting table before tearing anything apart.
