HST loses power on hills or creeps to a stop under load
Usually low charge pressure or a tired relief valve rather than a dead pump. The Hydrostatic drive section walks you through pressure testing against the 33336 kPa (4835 psi) high pressure relief spec, then into pump and motor inspection if the numbers come up short.

Start with oil level and the suction screen, since the transmission and hydraulics share one 32 L sump. The Hydraulic systems section covers flow testing, the 16671 kPa (2418 psi) lift relief setting, and cylinder repair, with the hydraulic schematic for the gear model starting on page 445.

Nine times out of ten this is an operator presence or neutral safety switch. The Electrical systems section gives test procedures for each interlock, and the complete tractor schematic starting on page 665 lets you trace the start circuit wire by wire instead of swapping parts.

Check steering pump flow first - the spec is 15.9 L/min on gear tractors and 19.9 L/min on HST units - then verify the relief valve against its 120 Kg/cm² (1707 psi) setting. The Steering section covers the orbital unit, cylinder, and linkage adjustments from there.

My tractor is the hydrostatic version. Is the HST actually covered, or just the gear model?
Both are covered side by side. The hydrostatic drive section includes pressure testing against the 33336 kPa (4835 psi) high pressure relief setting, plus the 3-speed range gearbox behind it. The gear model gets its own coverage too, including the single dry disc clutch. p. 36
Does it include a real wiring diagram or just fuse box pictures?
A complete tractor electrical schematic starts on page 665, and the book also includes a separate Electrical Schematic Poster section. You can trace any circuit from the key switch out, which is what you actually need when chasing a no-start or a dead gauge. p. 445
Are there fault codes for this tractor, and does the manual list them?
Yes. There is a printed fault codes chapter starting on page 1025, so when the tractor flags a code you can look it up and follow the matching test procedure instead of guessing at parts. p. 665
Are fluid capacities and specs listed, or do I have to hunt for them?
They are all in the specifications pages: 32 L (8.5 US gal) for the transmission/rear axle sump that also feeds the hydraulics, 5.5 L front axle, 4.2 L crankcase with filter, 5.1 L cooling system, and a 40 L fuel tank. p. 1025
What engine speed gives me proper PTO speed on these tractors?
The manual specs 2509 RPM engine speed for 540 RPM at the rear PTO on both gear and HST models, and 2545 RPM for 2000 RPM at the mid PTO. Rated engine speed is 2600 RPM, so you are running just under rated for PTO work. p. 370
