Part of the New Holland Repair Manuals.
This is the factory service manual for the New Holland T4 narrow and vineyard tractors: the T4.80V, T4.90V, T4.100V and T4.110V vineyard models and the T4.80N, T4.90N, T4.100N and T4.110N narrow models. It follows the CNH product structure, so you work from the system rather than from a chapter number: engine, clutch, transmission, four-wheel drive, axles, PTO, brakes, hydraulics, hitches, steering, wheels, cab climate and electrical. More than half the book is electrical, and most of that is harness drawings, connector diagrams and the fault-code tables with the guided test procedure behind each code.

New Holland T4.80-T4.110 V and N Series Common Problems This Manual Covers
A stored fault code, a sensor fault, or a tractor that derates without an obvious cause.
Read the code and go to the fault-code section rather than swapping the sensor. Each code carries its conditions and a guided diagnostic that tells you what to measure and where. Codes for signal-below-range, sensor supply voltage and level 2 monitoring all look similar on the dash but point at different circuits. Once the test names a circuit, move to the harness diagrams and the connector component tables and back-probe the pin they specify.
Manual Section: Electrical Systems: Fault Codes and DiagnosticsThe rear lift is slow or will not hold, or a remote valve leaks down.
Find your hydraulic schematic first, because the relief settings differ by build. On the mechanical draft control build the lift relief is 210 to 215 bar and the main relief 190 bar, while other builds run a 180 to 185 bar main relief. Test against the right figure, then work through the fixed displacement pump, the open-centre rear control valves and the lift itself. The section carries the schematics, the test points and the overhaul procedures.
Manual Section: Hydraulic SystemsThe differential lock will not engage, or four-wheel drive drops out.
Both are electro-hydraulic on this tractor, so treat them as electrical faults until proven otherwise. Check for a stored code, then trace the switch and solenoid circuit through the harness diagrams to the connector. If the circuit is sound, move to the rear axle section for the differential lock hydraulics or to the four-wheel drive section for the engagement clutch and its control, both of which carry the pressure test and overhaul procedures.
Manual Section: Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) SystemFrequently Asked Questions
Which tractors does this manual cover?
Eight models across two narrow-body lines: the T4.80V, T4.90V, T4.100V and T4.110V vineyard tractors and the T4.80N, T4.90N, T4.100N and T4.110N narrow tractors. They share the driveline, hydraulics, electrical architecture and cab, so almost every procedure applies across all eight. Where a build differs, such as the hydraulic relief settings or the transmission fitted, the manual gives the separate schematic and figure.
Does it cover the fault codes and the wiring?
Yes, and that is the bulk of it. The harness and connector diagrams run from page 1459 to page 2119 with the pin-out tables, the starting, module, lighting and cab-control circuits from page 2120 to page 2654, and the fault-code index and tables from page 2655 to page 3368, including sensor range faults, supply-voltage faults and level 2 monitoring, each with its guided diagnostic procedure.
What hydraulic pressures should I be seeing?
The values depend on which hydraulic build the tractor carries, and the manual gives a separate schematic for each. On the mechanical-transmission build with a mechanical draft control lift, the lift relief valve is calibrated to 210 to 215 bar, the main relief valve to 190 bar, the steering circuit relief to 170 bar and the low-pressure services circuit to 16 to 17 bar. Other builds run a main relief of 180 to 185 bar. Identify your schematic before you set a valve.
Does the engine section cover the emissions system?
It does. Alongside the engine and crankcase, the pump drives, the fuel tank and filters, the air cleaner and the intake and exhaust manifolds, there is a dedicated chapter on Exhaust Gas Recirculation exhaust treatment, plus the cooling system, the fan and drive and the aftercooler.
How big is the manual and can I search it?
It is 3591 pages in English, a searchable and printable PDF. Search the text, print the pages you need for the bench, and keep the rest on a laptop in the workshop.
