Part of the New Holland Repair Manuals.
This is the factory service manual for the New Holland T4 orchard and low-profile tractors: the T4.80F, T4.90F, T4.100F and T4.110F orchard models and the T4.80LP, T4.90LP, T4.100LP and T4.110LP low-profile models, part number 51523358. It follows the CNH product structure, so you work from the system rather than a chapter number, and it identifies each model by serial number and by whether it has a cab. More than half the book is electrical, and most of that is harness drawings, connector diagrams and the fault-code tables with the guided test behind each code.

New Holland T4.80-T4.110 F and LP Series Common Problems This Manual Covers
A stored fault code, a sensor fault, or a tractor that derates without an obvious cause.
Read the code and go to the fault-code section rather than swapping parts. Each code carries the conditions that set it and a guided diagnostic naming what to measure and where. Codes about comparing solenoid energizing times point at a valve or its driver rather than the function you can see. Once the test names a circuit, use the harness drawing and connector diagram for your build and back-probe the pin they specify.
Manual Section: Electrical Systems: Fault Codes and DiagnosticsThe rear lift is slow or will not hold, or a remote valve leaks down.
Find your hydraulic schematic first, because the relief settings differ by build. On the mechanical draft control build the lift relief is 210 to 215 bar and the main relief 190 bar, while other builds run a 180 to 185 bar main relief. Test against the right figure, then work through the fixed displacement pumps, the open-centre rear control valves and the lift itself. The section carries the schematics, the test points and the overhaul procedures.
Manual Section: Hydraulic SystemsThe differential lock will not engage, or four-wheel drive drops out.
Both are electro-hydraulic here, so treat them as electrical faults until proven otherwise. Check for a stored code, then trace the switch and solenoid circuit through the harness drawing for your build to the connector. If the circuit is sound, move to the rear axle section for the differential lock hydraulics or to the four-wheel drive section for the engagement clutch and its control, both of which carry the pressure test and overhaul procedures.
Manual Section: Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) SystemFrequently Asked Questions
Which tractors does this manual cover?
Eight models in two lines: the T4.80F, T4.90F, T4.100F and T4.110F orchard tractors and the T4.80LP, T4.90LP, T4.100LP and T4.110LP low-profile tractors. The front matter lists a separate serial-number range for the cab and the cabless build of each, so identify yours before you follow a procedure or pick a harness drawing.
What hydraulic pressures should I be seeing?
The values depend on which hydraulic build the tractor carries, and the manual gives a separate schematic for each. On the mechanical draft control build the lift relief valve is calibrated to 210 to 215 bar, the main relief valve to 190 bar, the steering circuit relief to 170 bar and there is a 10 bar calibrated valve in the lift circuit. Other builds run a main relief of 180 to 185 bar. Identify your schematic before you set a valve.
Which pumps are fitted?
Fixed displacement pumps, one at 25.00 cm3 per revolution (1.53 in3/rev) and one at 14.00 cm3 per revolution (0.85 in3/rev). The hydraulic section shows them on the schematic for each transmission and lift build together with the relief settings, so you can see which pump feeds which circuit on your tractor.
Does it cover the fault codes and the wiring?
Yes, and that is the bulk of it. Harness drawings, connector diagrams and pin-out tables run from page 1443 to page 2099, the cab and engine control circuits with the starting, charging and module coverage from 2100 to 2644, and the fault-code index and tables from 2645 to 3352, including faults such as an error state on comparing solenoid energizing times, each with its guided diagnostic.
How big is the manual and can I search it?
It is 3575 pages in English, a searchable and printable PDF. Search the text, print the pages you need for the bench, and keep the rest on a laptop in the workshop.
