Drain a hydraulic oil sample and look for milky or dark fluid, then clean the suction strainer and replace the full flow filter element. Test circuit pressures against the values on page 443 before condemning the pump. If the pump has to come out, rig a lift; the Zaxis 30U pump device weighs 21 kg.
