Weidemann 3070 wheel loader engine cranks slowly in cold weather, sometimes will not start at all

Check battery charge and terminal condition before condemning the starter; load-test the 77 Ah battery listed on page 49. With the engine running, measure charging voltage: 14 V at idle per page 123, 13.8 V with headlamps on. If cranking is still slow, inspect the starter cables and grounds for corrosion and voltage drop.

Connect a pressure gauge to the loader valve and cycle the bucket cylinders against their stops. Verify primary pressure hits the 230 bar setpoint shown on page 106, then check the lift secondary valve at 250 bar per page 107. Adjust or replace the relief cartridge if either reading comes up short.
