All 976 pages of this Doosan DX380LC-3 Shop Manual PDF (OEM #950106-00228E) exist for one purpose: getting your excavator digging again, and its shared service sections are printed as applicable across the wider DX-3 range, from the DX140LC-3 up to the DX420LC-3. You get full hydraulic schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and a complete troubleshooting, testing and adjustment section that walks you through pilot pressure checks, pump swash plate adjustment, and flow meter testing. Inside: teardown and reassembly procedures for the main pump, swing device, cylinders, center joint, and main control valve, backed by page after page of standard torque tables. Check track tension at 380-410 mm of clearance, and plan fluid service around the 600-liter (158.5 U.S. gal) fuel tank. No more chasing hydraulic faults with a gauge and a hunch. Bookmarked for fast jumps; search any spec by keyword, load it on your phone, and get back to work.

Doosan DX380LC-3 Common Problems This Manual Covers

Doosan DX380LC-3 swing bearing play after long service, upper structure rocks and grinds during rotation

Check lateral play first: push the bucket sideways at ground level; it should move with less than 100 lb of force per the check on page 196. Measure axial play with a dial indicator between the bearing races. Grease the bearing through every fitting, and if play stays out of limit, plan a bearing overhaul.

Manual Section: Upper Structure p. 196
Tracks derail on turns, excessive track sag, chain slaps the frame during travel

Measure track sag between the carrier roller and grouser; adjust the grease cylinder until clearance reads 380 to 410 mm on firm ground, or 410 to 460 mm in mud, sand, or snow, per page 210. Measure bushing outside diameter too; new spec is 66 mm on page 213, so replace worn links and bushings in sets.

Manual Section: Lower Structure and Chassis p. 210
Hydraulic oil weeping under the cab at the center joint, one track travels weak

Test the center joint for internal leak-down before condemning the travel motors. Replace slipper seals, wear rings, and O-rings with the procedures that start on page 331. On reassembly, torque the internal PF3/4 sealing plug to 15 ± 1.09 kg•m and the M12 cover bolts to 10 to 12.5 kg•m per pages 318 and 320.

Manual Section: Center Joint (Swivel) p. 331
Hydraulic oil temperature climbs fast, cooling fan runs constantly, power fades on hot afternoons

Blow out the dust net and oil cooler face with compressed air, working from the engine side outward. Verify hydraulic oil level; the reservoir holds 240 liters. If temperatures stay high with a clean cooler, test the fan motor and fan pump using the procedures that start on page 555.

Manual Section: Fan Motor for Oil Cooler, Fan Pump, Main Control Valve, Breaker EPPR Valve, Hydraulic Schematic p. 555
Engine hard to start in the morning, loses power under load, surges after refueling

Drain water and sediment from the bottom of the 600 liter fuel tank before each shift; capacity is confirmed on page 171. Replace the prefilter and both fuel filters if the engine still starves under load. Bleed the lines and verify the fuel transfer pump delivers; tank and pump procedures start.

Manual Section: Upper Structure p. 171
