You're about to pull a wheel, tee a gauge into the charge circuit or chase a code on the arm rest display of a Nitro 7310. This CNH service manual covers the Tier 4B final machine with the FPT NEF 6.7L engine. It runs from the engine and SCR aftertreatment through the hydrostatic drive, steering, sprayer hydraulics and spraying pump.
Nothing stops a job faster than a wheel sitting on the hub with nobody in the shop who knows the lug torque. This book has that number. It also has the pressure settings, capacities, fault codes with DTC numbers and the electrical and hydraulic schematic posters.
It goes along on a phone or tablet in the cab, so the spec is with you at the machine and not back at the house. Fix it and get back to spraying.

Miller Nitro 7310 Common Problems This Manual Covers
Engine will not crank even though the batteries are good
This is usually the crank inhibit. The engine will not start if the hydrostatic control lever (joystick) is out of neutral or the Engine Wait to Start lamp is still lit. Put the joystick in neutral and wait for the lamp to go off. If it still won't start, troubleshoot the active diagnostic codes listed in the Fault codes section.
Manual Section: Electrical systems: hydrostatic drive control / Fault codes p. 1044Fault 627-01: steering orbital power on self-test failed
627-01 means the steering orbital failed its power on self-test because the battery supply was too low, under 9 V. Possible causes are the wiring, a faulty alternator, a charging system problem or a faulty steering orbital. Inspect the battery connections and the harness from the battery to the control modules.
Manual Section: Fault codes: steering orbital self-test codes p. 1112Fault 298967-19: CAN bus received network data in error
Don't start replacing parts first. Use the chassis monitor to confirm 298967-19 is actually active. If it is, inspect the steering orbital connections. Then trace the harness from the steering orbital to the other devices on the CAN data link. The Electrical systems harness sheets and wire connector pages show the routing.
Manual Section: Fault codes: CAN bus and steering sensor codes p. 1738Checking hydrostatic charge and drive pressures against spec
You can monitor the individual charge pressures on the chassis diagnostic page of the arm rest display. Charge pressure is 3172 / 3378 / 3585 kPa (460 / 490 / 520 psi) min / nominal / max. High pressure forward is 44126 / 44816 / 44816 kPa (6400 / 6500 / 6500 psi). Priority pressure is 15341 / 15858 / 16375 kPa (2225 / 2300 / 2375 psi).

Why will my Nitro 7310 not crank?
The engine has a crank inhibit. It will not start if the hydrostatic control lever (joystick) is out of neutral or the Engine Wait to Start lamp is still lit. Put the joystick in neutral and make sure the lamp is off before you try again. If it still won't start, troubleshoot the active diagnostic codes. p. 1044
What does fault code 298967-19 mean on a Nitro 7310?
298967-19 is CAN bus, Received network data in error. First use the chassis monitor to confirm the code is active. Then inspect the steering orbital connections and the harness running from the steering orbital to the other devices on the CAN data link. p. 1738
What is the wheel lug nut torque on a Miller Nitro 7310?
Front wheel lug nuts get 610 to 678 N·m (450 to 500 lb ft). Rear wheel lug nuts get 610 N·m (450 lb ft). Front and rear use different specs, so check which end you're working on before you set the wrench. p. 478
How much hydraulic oil does the Nitro 7310 hold?
The hydraulic tank holds approximately 132 l (35 US gal). The manual specifies NEW HOLLAND AMBRA HYDROSYSTEM 68. p. 25
What engine is in the Miller Nitro 7310?
It's an FPT NEF 6.7L Tier 4B final rated at 212 kW (310 Hp). The fuel tank holds 553 L (146 US gal) of ultra low sulfur diesel. The DEF tank for the SCR system holds 91 L (24 US gal). p. 28
