New Holland E33C Common Problems This Manual Covers
Oil leaking from the hydraulic pump
The pump troubleshooting chart in the Hydraulic Pump and Main Control Valve section puts this down to a damaged O-ring or packing, and the fix is to replace it. Follow the pump removal and overhaul steps to get to the seals. The same section covers pump removal, installation and adjustment.
Manual Section: Pump - Troubleshooting p. 414Swing unit drifting
When the swing unit drifts, the Hydraulic Swing System troubleshooting table points you to the brake spring. If the spring is not normal, it is faulty. Disassemble the unit and replace the spring. When you refit the swing motor, torque the mounting bolts to 163.2 - 220.8 N·m (120.4 - 162.9 lb ft).
Manual Section: Hydraulic swing system - Service instruction - Troubleshooting p. 624Travel motors not working normally
When the travel motors do not function normally, the Hydraulic Travel System troubleshooting chart has you check the select valve. If the select valve is not operative, it is faulty and must be repaired or replaced. Read the travel motor and two-speed mechanism pages before you pull anything. If the motor comes off, torque the mounting bolts to 125.5 - 145.1 N·m (92.6 - 107.0 lb ft) on refit.
Manual Section: Travel motor - Service instruction - Troubleshooting p. 716Engine overheating with the water temperature lamp on
The engine troubleshooting chart lists fan belt elongation as a cause. Adjust the belt tension using the Engine section cooling procedures. Then check the fault codes DTC section to see whether 110-0 - Engine Coolant Temperature: Too High has been logged.
