This is the factory service manual for the New Holland Workmaster 55, Workmaster 65 and Workmaster 75 utility tractors. It opens with a maintenance section that gives every fluid, its specification and its exact capacity, then works through the tractor system by system: engine, clutch, transmission, four-wheel drive, axles, PTO, brakes, hydraulics, steering, cab climate and electrical, closing with the front loader. About half the book is electrical, and most of that is harness drawings, connector diagrams and the fault-code tables with the guided test behind each code.

New Holland Workmaster 55, Workmaster 65, Workmaster 75 Common Problems This Manual Covers

The three-point lift will not raise, raises slowly, or drifts down under load.

Check the easy causes the manual lists before you strip anything: a blocked pump inlet filter and air drawn into the pump suction hose both produce exactly these symptoms. Clean or replace the filter and check the suction hose and its bearings first. If the supply is sound, the hydraulic section walks through the electro-hydraulic lifter, the control piston and the distributor, showing how oil is routed to raise and to lower the arms so you can tell a distributor fault from a tired pump.

Manual Section: Hydraulic Systems
A warning lamp or a stored fault code with no obvious mechanical cause.

Read the code and go to the fault-code tables, which give the conditions that set each code and a guided diagnostic that names what to measure and where. When the test points at a circuit, move to the harness drawings and the connector component diagrams and back-probe the pin they specify. Check the battery and charging circuit first if several unrelated codes appear together, since low system voltage sets codes across the machine.

Manual Section: Electrical Systems: Fault Codes and Diagnostics
Refilling a transmission or an axle and not knowing the right oil or quantity.

Work from the maintenance section rather than a generic chart. It names both the specification and the exact capacity: 30 L for the mechanical transmission and 35 L for the Powershuttle, 6 L in the front axle casing with 1 L in each reducer, 0.7 L of AMBRA BRAKE LHM in the braking unit, and 7.9 L of crankcase oil unfiltered or 8.6 L with a new filter. It also lists the service intervals and every greasing point.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which tractors does this manual cover?

The Workmaster 55, Workmaster 65 and Workmaster 75. They share the chassis, the axles, the hydraulics and the electrical architecture, so nearly every procedure applies across the three. Where a build differs, such as the mechanical transmission against the Powershuttle, the manual gives the separate procedure and the separate fluid capacity.

What are the fluid capacities?

The fuel tank holds 82 L and the cooling system 9 L of AMBRA AGRIFLU mixed half and half with distilled water. Crankcase oil is 7.9 L unfiltered or 8.6 L filtered. The mechanical transmission takes 30 L and the Powershuttle 35 L. The front axle casing takes 6 L with 1 L in each reducer, the braking unit 0.7 L, and the air conditioning system carries a 1.5 kg refrigerant charge.

Does it include the wiring and the fault codes?

Yes, and it is about half the book. The harness drawings, connector component diagrams and fuse and relay layouts run from page 525 to page 777, the starting, charging and cab-control circuits from page 778 to page 866, and the fault-code tables with their guided diagnostic procedures from page 867 to page 1160.

Is the front loader covered?

It is, in its own section at pages 1161 to 1222, covering the loader arms, the lift and bucket cylinders, the loader valve and controls, and the bucket and attachment mounting. That is separate from the tractor hydraulic section, which covers the pump, the electro-hydraulic lifter and the three-point linkage.

How big is the manual and can I search it?

It is 1245 pages in English, a searchable and printable PDF. Search the text, print the pages you need for the bench, and keep the rest on a laptop in the workshop.
