Document 5200013253 is Wacker Neuson's own factory book, a 216-page Wacker Neuson LTN 6 repair manual PDF covering six light tower variants across the LTN series. Troubleshooting fills the heart of it: separate diagnostic sequences for no-crank, crank-no-start, and starts-then-dies conditions, each walking you from the key switch to a specific failed component. Wiring coverage runs just as deep, with lighting schematics in 120V and 120/240V configurations, engine and control panel wiring, power winch and trailer circuits, and generator capacitor excitation diagrams for each model group. Before you condemn a fuel solenoid, meter the coil for 15 to 25 ohms; if the engine keeps shutting down hot, the temperature switch should trip at 107°C (225°F). Nothing stalls a night shift like one missing capacitor value. Pay for this PDF once, and the bookmarked, text-indexed file belongs to your shop for the life of the machine.

Wacker Neuson Ltn Series Common Problems This Manual Covers

Wacker Neuson LTN light tower lamps flicker, dim, or will not strike after generator reaches speed

Check engine speed first: a 60 Hz machine should hold 60.0 to 62.0 Hz no load (1800 to 1860 rpm), verified on page 88. If speed is good, test the ballast capacitor; a 60 Hz tower should read 24±0.8 µF, page 98 shows the procedure. Replace any capacitor out of range and inspect fixture connections for corrosion.

Manual Section: Troubleshooting the Lights p. 86
Engine cranks but won't start in cold weather, glow plugs seem dead

Check the 15A fuse in the start circuit, covered starting on page 38, before condemning anything else. Verify power reaches the fuel solenoid with the key on. Then measure each glow plug; a good plug reads about 1.2 ohms, the spec listed on page 84. Replace any plug that reads open and retest.

Manual Section: Troubleshooting Engine Starting (Crank, No Start) p. 38
Engine starts then shuts down after a few seconds, oil level is fine

Test the oil pressure switch and temperature switch, the two usual suspects, using the procedures that begin on page 47. Check the fuel solenoid coil while you are in there; it should measure 15 to 25 ohms, the spec on page 60. A coil outside that range drops out under vibration and stalls the engine. Replace and retest.

Manual Section: Troubleshooting Engine Start (Starts, Then Shuts Down) p. 47
Power winch won't raise the tower mast, winch motor hums or clicks but nothing moves

Check the 70A winch fuse before pulling the motor; the winch diagnostics start on page 116. Test the winch switch for continuity in both directions, then verify battery voltage reaches the motor terminals under load. If the motor hums but will not turn, replace the cable and winch as an assembly using the same section.

Manual Section: Troubleshooting the Power Winch p. 116
Kohler engine keeps shutting down mid-shift, coolant level fine, no obvious leaks

Check the shut-down condition list beginning on page 63 and work it in order. Diagnose the oil pressure circuit first, then test the temperature switch; it should open at 107°C (225°F), the spec on page 83. Check the recharging system and air restriction indicator switch as well; either one can trip a shutdown. Clean the radiator fins while you are there.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the torque specifications for installing the stator on the LTN light tower?

When installing the stator, connect it to the engine using screws (d) and torque them to 31 Nm (23 ft.lbs.). After installation, strike the stator at the 12:00, 4:00, and 8:00 o'clock positions with a dead blow hammer to relieve stress, then torque the generator support bracket screws (b) to 35 Nm (26 ft.lbs.). p. 136

What is the correct engine operating speed for the LTN 6C and LTN 6L models?

The operating speed (no-load) for both the LTN 6C and LTN 6L models is 1800 rpm. p. 168

What is the required resistance for a functioning glow plug?

A functioning glow plug should measure approximately 1.2 ohms of resistance when measured between the end of the glow plug and the engine ground. p. 46

What is the procedure for clearing a recharging system fault on a Kohler engine?

To clear a recharging system fault, cycle the key on and off. If the condition persists, you should recharge or replace the battery. If the battery does not remain charged, check the wiring to the alternator, test the charging system, and replace the alternator if necessary. p. 69

What is the torque specification for the spine mounting screws on the Wacker Neuson Ltn Series?

When installing the doors and the spine, the two screws (m) that hold the spine to the machine must be torqued to 58 Nm (43 ft.lbs.). p. 142

How quickly can I access this Wacker Neuson LTN 6C manual after buying?

You get a 216-page searchable PDF that downloads instantly after checkout. Open it on your laptop, tablet, or phone, and bring it right to the shop floor.

Is this Wacker Neuson LTN 6C manual print-friendly?

Absolutely. No DRM or copy protection. Print the whole manual or just the pages you need. Any home or office printer works.
