Part of the Doosan Repair Manuals.
Looking for a Doosan DX230LC shop manual PDF? This is the 818-page factory shop manual for the DX230LC Track Excavator, OEM #950106-00049E, serial number 5001 and Up. The specifications chapter is titled for the DX230LC and its applicable-models table lists that machine alone; the schematic chapters are the shared DX225LC/DX230LC sheets, and several general chapters such as safety, cabin and cylinders also cover neighbouring DX models. You get the full-size hydraulic circuit schematic on page 661 and the full-size electrical wiring schematic on page 792, plus a dedicated hydraulic troubleshooting, testing and adjustment section with the pilot pressure, power mode, swing priority and pressure up procedures. Step-by-step teardown and reassembly covers the swing motor, TM40VD travel motor, cylinders and center joint, with wear limits and seal lists. Main relief is 330 kg/cm² (4,689 psi) and 350 kg/cm² with "Pressure Up"; track link pitch is 190 mm standard, 193 mm at the maintenance limit and 194.5 mm at the replace limit; split flange connections in 1/2" size torque to 2.1 to 2.5 kg•m. Your excavator is not making money parked. Bookmarked and text-searchable, so you can jump straight to the schematic or type the spec you need.

Doosan DX230LC Common Problems This Manual Covers
Doosan DX230LC bucket digs weak, travel feels sluggish, hydraulic oil runs hot under load
Test main relief pressure at the pump before condemning anything. The book specifies 330 kg/cm² (4,689 psi) in normal operation and 350 kg/cm² (4,970 psi) with "Pressure Up" engaged, page 73. Run the pump flow tests on page 306, where bucket and swing flow is read at 330 kg/cm². If the numbers come up short, work the baseline triage on page 293, which checks hydraulic flow first and pressure afterwards in a set order, and replace the 10 micron return line filter if the oil shows contamination.
Manual Section: Hydraulic System Troubleshooting, Testing and Adjustment p. 293Joysticks feel dead or controls respond weakly, attachments barely move at low idle
Check the pilot circuit before tearing into the main pump. The gauge panel raises the pilot filter symbol once filter pressure climbs above about 1 kg/cm² (14 psi), page 693, which is the clog warning. Replace the element, then test the solenoid valve assembly. If you rebuild the valve, torque the solenoid and coil locknut to 200 ± 25 kg/cm, table on page 640.
Manual Section: Solenoid Valve Assembly p. 640Tracks keep going loose, links look stretched, undercarriage clanks and shoes shift on rollers
Measure link pitch across four links with the track pulled tight. Standard is 190 mm, the recommended maintenance limit is 193 mm, and the chain comes out of service at the 194.5 mm replace limit, wear table on page 241. Measure bushing outside diameter while you are under there: 59 mm standard, 57 mm at the maintenance limit, 54.0 mm at the replace limit.
Manual Section: Lower Structure and Chassis p. 241Travel motor whines and runs hot, machine crawls in one gear or pulls to one side
Drain the travel motor reduction gear and inspect the oil for metal flakes before anything else. Refill with 3.3 liters of SAE #90 extreme-pressure gear oil, quantity and grade on page 426. If the machine still walks off line, swap the travel hoses side to side to isolate the motor from the control valve, then work through the travel motor section starting on page 409.
Manual Section: Travel Motor p. 426Coolant temperature climbs, the overheat lamp and buzzer come on and the machine drops power by itself
That power drop is the protection system doing its job, not a second fault. Above 107°C (225°F) the engine controller signals the e-EPOS controller, which lights the warning and buzzer, forces power mode back to standard mode and sets the engine to a low speed; normal operation resumes once coolant falls below 95°C (203°F), page 736. So clear the cooling package and check the fan drive first, and read the stored E and V failure codes from the special menu before replacing sensors.
Manual Section: Electrical System, Engine Overheat Protection p. 736Frequently Asked Questions
How do I clear or reset fault codes on a Doosan DX230LC excavator?
Open the 'Delete Fail Log' mode in the special menu. When 'YES' is selected the system asks for a password, which you input with the No. 1-8 switches to confirm deletion. The screen shows 'DELETED !!!' for 3 seconds when it succeeds, and a wrong password puts you back at the password screen. p. 708
How do I check for error codes on the Doosan DX230LC?
To access failure information, enter the special menu by pressing the Enter button and Escape button simultaneously for more than 3 seconds. Once in the special menu, select 'Failure Information' to view real-time failures or the failure log. Codes read as Vxxx for machine faults and Exxx for engine faults, each with an FMI number; the code tables run from page 709. p. 701
What is the fuel tank capacity for the Doosan DX230LC?
The fuel tank capacity for the DX230LC is 400 liters (105.7 U.S. gal). Hydraulic system capacity is 240 liters and the hydraulic reservoir holds 140 liters. p. 67
What is the recommended interval for changing the gear oil in the travel motor?
The first gear oil change should be performed after 500 operating hours, with subsequent changes every 1000 operating hours or once per year. p. 426
What exactly do I receive with this Doosan DX230LC Shop Manual?
A single searchable PDF file of 818 pages, downloadable right after payment. Nothing ships, nothing waits in the mail.
Is this Doosan DX230LC manual print-friendly?
Yes. The PDF is DRM-free, so printing works from any reader and any printer.
Can I find wiring schematics in this Doosan DX230LC manual?
Yes. The book carries its own electrical schematic chapter, SP001690, and the full-size wiring sheet is page 792. Connector pinouts and wire routing for the cab, engine and accessory circuits run through the Electrical System section from page 662. The matching hydraulic circuit schematic, SP001689, is the fold-out sheet on page 661. p. 792
