This is the Figure Search illustrated parts catalog cut for the Ford 7610, built 1981 to 1991. Because the 10 Series shared so much iron, individual figures also name the sister models a part fits (5110, 5410, 5610, 5900, 6410, 6610, 6710, 6810, 7100, 7200, 7410, 7710 and 7910), so you can see at a glance whether a number is shared or 7610-specific — but the book is organised around the 7610, and each sister model has its own catalog. Inside are exploded-view figures with Ford OEM part numbers, grouped by assembly: wheels and tires, brakes, steering, the FWD front axle, hydraulics, engine, transmission, electrical, and cab. When the counter guy asks exactly which lift cylinder seal or swivel housing bearing you need, this book answers with a number instead of a shrug - right down to the 1/2"-20 x 1-3/4" front hub bolts on p.10.

Ford 7610 Common Problems This Manual Covers

Hydraulic lift is slow or the 3-point hitch will not hold a plow up

Pull the part numbers before you split anything. Figure 05A02 (page 194) is the lift cover itself, 05B01 and 05B03 the lift cylinder, and 05B02 the load monitor, while 05A03 and 05A04 cover the lift control linkage. Order the seals and O-rings for the exact figure your build date falls under before the tractor comes apart.

Manual Section: Hydraulic Lift and Controls - figures 05A02, 05B01, 05B02, 05B03 p. 194
Power steering pump or steering cylinder leaking, steering heavy at idle

Figures 03C01 and 03C01[A] break down the power steering pump and reservoir, and 03D01[A] covers the steering cylinder. Match your leaking unit to the exploded view, write down the OEM numbers for the seals, fittings or complete pump, and cross-reference to current stock before ordering anything.

Manual Section: Front Axle and Steering - figures 03C01, 03C01[A], 03D01[A] p. 65
Transmission handbrake will not hold or differential lock sticking

Figures 02B01 through 02B06 illustrate the brake pedals, linkage and transmission handbrake piece by piece, while 04B01 and 04C01 cover the differential side. Find the worn pawl, cable or linkage pin in the drawing, note its Ford part number, and order the exact piece rather than a close-enough substitute.

Manual Section: Brakes - figures 02B01-02B06, 04B01, 04C01 p. 38
FWD front axle leaking at the swivel housings or clunking in the driveline

The Front Axle (FWD) group splits the driven front end into separate figures for the axle and differential, transfer case, front drive shaft and swivel housings. Locate the seal, bearing or pin that matches your leak point in the exploded view and order it by the listed OEM number.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a repair manual with torque specs and wiring diagrams?

No, and it does not pretend to be. There are no torque specifications, no wiring or hydraulic schematics, and no overhaul procedures in here. It is a parts catalog: exploded-view figures plus Ford OEM part numbers, grouped by assembly (group codes 01 through 17). If you already know how to wrench and just need the correct numbers to order, this is the right book - it sits next to a workshop manual, not instead of one. p. 1

My 3-point hitch is weak. Will this catalog actually help me fix it?

It will get you the right parts on the bench. Figures 05B01, 05B02 and 05B03 show the hydraulic lift cover, lift cylinder and load monitor as exploded views with part numbers, and 05A02 covers the lift controls. You do the diagnosis and the wrenching; the catalog makes sure the seal kit or piston you order is the correct one the first time. p. 194

I have a 6610, not a 7610. Does this catalog cover my tractor?

Yes. Ford built the 10 Series on shared assemblies, and this Figure Search catalog covers the 5110, 5410, 5610, 5900, 6410, 6610, 6710, 6810, 7100, 7200, 7410, 7710 and 7910 alongside the 7610, for production from 1/81 to 10/91. Where variants differ (Dual Power vs. non-sync transmission, FWD vs. 2WD front axle), they get their own figures. p. 2

Which transmission versions are in here?

The transmission group covers the 8-speed non-synchronized gearbox, the synchronized transmission, Dual Power, and the reduction gear box, each broken out in its own exploded figures. The transmission handbrake and its linkage are illustrated in figures 02B01 through 02B06, which is where most worn-pawl and cable part lookups end up. p. 327

Are wheel weights and dual wheel parts listed?

Yes. The wheels group includes front wheel assemblies, standard and power-adjustable rear wheels, dual wheel hardware, and the cast weights: front wheel weights run about 43 lbs each (p.25) and rear weights 70 to 100 lbs depending on size (p.27). Handy when you are hunting used weights and need to confirm the correct casting number before driving out to look at them. p. 9
