A wrapped pickup reel or a cracked roll arm bearing goes nowhere at the parts counter without the right number. This 128-page Gehl 1475 parts catalog PDF (Form No. 908173) supplies them for six variable chamber round baler designations, including the 1875, RB, and QW versions. Exploded views fill most of the book, from the drawbar and gearbox drive through the rollers, TDC hydraulics, tailgate, and a pickup broken out by reel, headers, lift, and overfill clutch. Harness drawings for Automatic Bale Control and twine wrap control trace each module, sensor, and switch, and the QW1400 and QW1800 get their own side assemblies. Find the shear bolt on the universal drive or the TDC trip valve, read its callout number, and confirm it in the numerical index before you order. Every hour the baler sits, your windrows take more dew. Bookmarks and live text take you to the overrunning clutch page in seconds, and you're back in the field.

Gehl 1475/1875 Variable Chamber Round Baler Common Problems This Manual Covers
Gehl 1475 round baler hitch assembly part number differs before and after serial number breaks
Check your baler's serial number first, then open the Front Frame parts list on page 11. On the 1475, order 156988 after SN26150, 142009 between SN25000 and SN26151, or 119441 before SN25001. Each hitch assembly includes decals 093457, 093466 and 093653, so you order once and get back to the windrows.
Manual Section: Front Frame p. 11Damaged tailgate lock and safety decals after repainting, need the correct decal set part number
Compare the close-up photos in Decal Locations starting on page 4 against your machine before refinishing. For an RB1875, order complete set 119615. The tailgate lock decal splits at serial number: 141493 after SN17900, 119553 before SN17901. Surfaces must be free of dirt, dust and grease before the new decal goes on.
Manual Section: Decal Locations p. 4Broken hitch jack, and the drawbar parts list shows two different jack part numbers
Check whether your jack is a Fulton or a Wesbar, then match it in the Drawbar & Windguard list on page 9: 143470 for Fulton, 088841 for Wesbar. If only the handle, gear, shaft or pin is bad, pull those numbers from the Hitchjack breakdown on page 95 instead of buying the whole jack.
Manual Section: Drawbar & Windguard p. 9Transmission bearing or gear replacement needs part numbers for the 540 RPM versus 1000 RPM gearbox
Verify whether your gearbox is the 540 RPM or 1000 RPM version before ordering anything. The Transmissions breakdown starting on page 90 lists each one separately, with its own casting, shafts, gears and bearings. For the transmission assembly, universal joint, bearing collar and dipstick breather, check Gearbox Drive on page 12.
Manual Section: Transmissions p. 90TDC cylinder seal kit hard to find among the TDC hydraulics hoses, manifold and valves
Check the TDC Cylinder breakdown on page 93 rather than the TDC Hydraulics schematic on page 38; the seal kit is listed there with the cap, anchor, tube, rod and piston. Use page 38 for the manifold, trip valve, relief valve and hoses. Items shown without a reference number are not available for purchase, per page 2.
Manual Section: TDC Cylinder p. 93Automatic bale control harness connector damaged, need contact pins and plug kit part numbers
Trace the damaged connector on the Automatic Bale Control wiring diagram on page 76 to confirm which plug or receptacle it is. Then check Service Kits for Electrical Connectors on page 113 for the plug kit, receptacle kit, contact pins, sealing plugs and connector boot. The contact removal tool is listed on the same page.
Manual Section: Automatic Bale Control p. 76Frequently Asked Questions
What are the torque specifications for a Gehl RB1475/RB1875?

What is the required compression for the twine wrap spring?
When assembling the twine wrap mechanism, the spring (item 15) must be compressed to 1.50 inches. p. 70
