Part of the John Deere Repair Manuals.
All 785 pages of this John Deere 3050, 3350, and 3650 Technical Manual (OEM #TM4443) zero in on one goal: giving you factory-level procedures for the complete tractor line. Inside, you get an extensive procedures section covering tractor separation, tune-up, and lubrication service, plus dedicated repair chapters for the power train (clutch systems, Hi-Lo shift unit, synchronized transmission, and differential), hydrostatic steering, hydraulic system (pumps, rockshaft, selective control valves), and the full SG2 cab including air conditioning and heating. Packed with exploded views and a torque section, every rebuild step is backed by real numbers. Set hydraulic system standby pressure to 19000 kPa (2760 psi) and confirm fan belt deflection at 19 mm with 90 N pull before buttoning the hood back up. Your 3050 is down and the clock is running. Jump to any system in seconds: bookmarked chapters mean you search by keyword, land on the spec, and get back to wrenching.

John Deere 3050, 3350, 3650 Common Problems This Manual Covers
John Deere 3050 hydraulic system pressure low, loader lifts slowly or won't respond p. 566
Check hydraulic filter condition first and replace if contaminated. Connect a pressure gauge at the pump outlet and verify stand-by pressure reaches 19000 kPa (190 bar; 2760 psi) as specified on page 37. If pressure stays low, remove the pump following procedures at page 566 and inspect seals and internal components for wear.
Manual Section: Hydraulic Sistem-RepairEngine temperature gauge climbs into red zone, tractor loses power under load p. 223
Inspect coolant level and check hoses and radiator cap for leaks. Check fan V-belt tension: the belt should flex 19 mm (3/4 in.) with 90 N (20 lb) of pull midway between pulleys (page 228). Flush the radiator if fins are blocked with debris. Replace the water pump if bearings feel rough or the shaft seal is weeping.
Manual Section: Engine-RepairFront axle binding and uneven tire wear, steering pulls or feels heavy p. 670
Drain and inspect front axle housing oil: capacity is 7.0 liters (1.85 U.S. gal.) and metal-flaked oil confirms worn pivot pins. Follow the front axle separation steps on page 670 to access the pivot pins, measure clearance, and replace worn pins and bushings. Inspect the axle housing for impact cracks before reassembly.
Manual Section: MiscellaneousHard cold weather start, engine cranks but won't fire or fires and dies p. 229
Verify both batteries are fully charged: these tractors run 2 x 12 volt, 88 Ah batteries (page 35). Cold-start failures often trace to weak batteries rather than glow plugs. Test each glow plug with a multimeter for resistance. Review cold weather starting aid procedures on page 229 and top off the fuel tank to prevent overnight condensation.
