Mitsubishi L3E cranks strong on the glow plugs but won't fire after sitting over the winter

Check the hard starting chart on page 29 and work it in order: preheat, fuel flow, timing, compression. Bleed the filter and injection pump until fuel runs free of bubbles. Test compression against the 29 to 32 kg/cm2 standard on page 27; low readings across all cylinders point to valve lash or ring wear, not fuel.

Verify fuel flow first: replace the cartridge fuel filter if it has more than 400 hours on it, then bleed the system. Pull the nozzles and pop test them; they should crack at 140 kgf/cm2 as specified on page 25. Reseat and torque the nozzle holders to 34 to 39 N·m per page 86 on reassembly.
