Part of the New Holland Operator Manuals.
Hitch a baler, settle into the seat, and the questions start: which remote lever feeds which port, where draft control should sit for the ground you are on, why the PowerCommand is showing a code. New Holland's operator manual for the T7.170, T7.185, T7.200 and T7.210 walks those systems end to end, from controls and instruments through differential lock, automated headland sequences, RangeCommand and PowerCommand transmissions, front and rear PTO, three point hitch and draft control, electro-hydraulic remotes, trailer braking, wheel track and ballasting, and maintenance.
Guessing has a price: the wrong filter ordered, a hitch adjustment done twice, a wheel disc torqued by feel until a stud lets go. The book gives the settings, capacities and torque figures instead.

New Holland T7.170, T7.185, T7.200, T7.210 Common Problems This Manual Covers
Rear wheels loosening after a track change
Sliding rear wheels in or out for row crop work and then pulling the bolts up by feel is how studs stretch and discs go oval. The Wheel Track Adjustment and Ballasting section gives 500 Nm (369 lb ft) for the rear disc to hub fixings on the 10 bolt hub and 250 Nm (184 lb ft) for the M16 disc to rim nuts.
Manual Section: Wheel Track Adjustment and Ballasting p. 333Remote hydraulics slow under load
A weak remote circuit shows up as a ram that crawls or a cab loader valve that stalls with the tank full, and the relief setting is worth confirming before anyone blames the pump. The manual lists maximum system pressure at 210 bar +/- 5 (3045 psi +/- 72).
Manual Section: Electro-Hydraulic Remote Control Valves p. 456Transmission codes after sensor or clutch work
RangeCommand and PowerCommand units throw error codes when a speed sensor or clutch pack has been disturbed and the transmission has never been re-calibrated. The calibration routine runs at 1200 RPM with transmission oil at 80 °C (176 °F).
Manual Section: Transmission Operations p. 420Cooler pack blinded by chaff
Harvest dust packs the radiator and cooler pack until coolant temperature climbs on a hot afternoon and the tractor derates mid-field. The Maintenance section covers cleaning the pack and caps compressed air or pressure washer pressure at 7 bar (102 psi) so the fins are not flattened.
Manual Section: Maintenance p. 375PTO will not engage or drops out
A rear PTO that refuses to turn, or shuts off mid-round, usually traces back to an interlock, a speed selection or an auto PTO setting tied to hitch height rather than a failed clutch pack. Rear PTO, front PTO, operating precautions and auto PTO operation are all covered in the Power Take-Off (PTO) Operations section.
Manual Section: Power Take-Off (PTO) Operations p. 219Three point hitch will not hold depth
Implements that creep up or dig deeper across a pass point at draft control settings, response rate or float rather than worn linkage. Electronic draft control, hitch float and the external hitch controls are all set out in the Rear and Front Hitch Operations section.
Manual Section: Rear and Front Hitch Operations p. 239Trailer brakes dragging or applying late
Hitching a loaded grain trailer and finding the brakes slow to come on, or dragging all the way home, usually comes back to the coupling and the braking system fitted. The Hydraulic Power Beyond and Trailer Braking section covers both air-operated and hydraulic trailer brakes plus the power beyond port.
Manual Section: Hydraulic Power Beyond and Trailer Braking p. 294Frequently Asked Questions
Which tractors does this manual cover?
The cover on page 1 lists the New Holland T7.170, T7.185, T7.200 and T7.210 Sidewinder II tractors in Range Command and Power Command versions, part number 84411338. Both RangeCommand and PowerCommand transmissions are dealt with in the Transmission Operations section, along with front and rear PTO, hitch and remote valve equipment. p. 1
Does it give the fluid capacities for a service?
Yes. The Maintenance section lists fuel tank capacity at 270 l (71.3 US gal) and engine oil capacity including filter at 15 l (3.96 US gal), with the rest of the refill quantities alongside them. p. 363
Does it cover transmission error codes?
Yes. Transmission Operations has an Error Codes page, and the transmission clutch calibration procedure in the Maintenance chapter lists the calibration codes, including the RangeCommand engine speed tolerance of 1200 RPM +/- 100 tied to codes U21 and U22. p. 422
Are wheel torque figures included?
Yes. For four wheel drive adjustable front wheels, the disc to hub nuts are given as 210 Nm (155 lb ft) and the disc to rim nuts as 250 Nm (184 lb ft), with the split wedge bolt and 10 bolt hub figures set out on the same table. p. 382
