One book runs fifteen tractors: this New Holland TK4.80F-TK4.110M operator manual PDF, OEM ID 51634525, spends its 294 pages walking you from first refueling to the 3600 hour coolant change, TK4.80F through TK4.110M. Maintenance planning takes up more than a quarter of the book, with hour based charts stepping from daily engine oil checks through the 50, 300, 600, and 1200 hour services. Fault codes get their own chapter; when the display throws an error, you read the code and trace it to the engine, electrical system, clutch, or hydraulics. Pull the track chain screws to 133 N·m plus or minus 15, and keep compressed air or a pressure washer no higher than 7.0 bar (101.5 psi) when you clean the radiator. A torque figure recalled over the phone is how flanges crack. Bought once, this bookmarked, keyword searchable file stays with your tractor for good, ready before the next weather window opens.

New Holland TK4.80F-TK4.110M Common Problems This Manual Covers

New Holland TK4 temperature gauge climbs into the red during heavy fieldwork, coolant warning light on

Work the engine overheating row of the troubleshooting table on page 251: a clogged radiator core, engine overload, low engine oil or coolant level (top up the expansion tank and check the system for leaks), a defective radiator cap, a slipping or worn fan belt, a clogged cooling system, a thermostat malfunction and leaking hoses. Clean the radiator back to front with compressed air or a pressure washer no higher than 7.0 bar (101.5 psi) (page 184). The conventional coolant fill on models without a cab is 14.0 L (3.1 UK gal) (page 223).

Manual Section: Maintenance p. 251
Three-point hitch lifts slowly, lowers slowly or will not raise the implement to full height

Check the transmission and hoist oil on the dipstick with the tractor flat, the engine off and the hoist arms lowered; the level should reach the notch, topped up with NEW HOLLAND AMBRA MULTI F oil (page 210). The rear three-point hitch table on page 255 lists the arm lift upper limit control not set correctly when the implement does not raise to full height, the combined draft/position control incorrectly set or a lowering speed that is too slow when the lift is slow in draft control, and the lowering speed control incorrectly set when the hitch lowers slowly.

Manual Section: Troubleshooting p. 255
Engine cranks slowly or will not start on cold mornings, dash lights dim while cranking

The electrical troubleshooting table on page 252 lists loose or corroded connections (clean and tighten them), a battery below 12.6 V (check electrolyte level and specific gravity) and engine oil of the wrong viscosity for the temperature. Check the charge with a digital voltmeter: 12.66 V is 100% and 12.00 V is 25%, and at about 12.30 V recharge the battery at 1/10 of its Ah capacity (page 230).

Manual Section: Maintenance p. 252
PTO shaft retaining flange works loose, vibration and rattle when running rear implements

Apply the parking brake, stop the engine, remove the key and wait for the PTO shaft to stop turning before leaving the cab. To change the shaft, remove the locking nuts (2), pull out the retaining flange with the splined shaft, fit the flange with the replacement shaft and tighten the locking nuts to 162 N·m (16.5 kgm, 119.5 ftlbs) (page 138).

Manual Section: Working Operations p. 138
Track shoes rattle or shift on crawler models after the first weeks of work

After the first 50 hours of work, check that the track shoe screws on lubricated tracks are tightened to 133 N·m ± 15 N·m, following the crossed sequence in figure 1; if a shoe is disassembled, tighten its bolts to the same torque and check again after 50 hours of work. Periodically check the track tension as well (page 177).
