Part of the Case Repair Manuals.
All 857 pages of this Case Corporation 1835C Service Manual (OEM Rac 8-69341) exist to keep your Uni-Loader running, covering Engine, Fuel System, Electrical, Power Train, Brakes, and Hydraulics in one factory reference. Inside you get complete electrical schematics for chasing shorts without guesswork, hydraulic schematics showing the pump, loader control valve, and auxiliary circuit routing, and a full torque specifications section right at the front so you're not hunting through random pages. Set your air cleaner element replacement at 1000 hours or one year, whichever comes first, and swap the fuel filter every 500 hours, both pulled straight from the factory pages, not a forum thread. Your hydrostatic system gets dedicated troubleshooting coverage too, so when the 1835C won't drive right you're working from real diagnostic steps instead of trial and error. No more tearing into the power train blind. This PDF carries bookmarks for instant jumps between sections, opens on your phone or tablet, and gets you back to the machine fast.

Case 1835C Common Problems This Manual Covers
Case 1835C right-hand side stuck going backwards with no hydraulic movement at all p. 759
Check the hydraulic system section starting on page 759. Inspect the right-side control valve spool for sticking debris and confirm the loader pump mounting bolts are torqued to the value listed in the General Torque Specifications chart. Cycle the valve by hand to verify free movement before testing under load.
Manual Section: HydraulicsTurning the key produces no click and no starter engagement at all
Work through the electrical troubleshooting procedures starting. Check the key switch, main relay, and battery cable connections for corrosion or a broken wire before condemning the starter. Verify battery terminals are clean and torqued per the chart, since a loose ground is the most common cause of a dead-silent no-start.
Manual Section: Electrical System TroubleshootingLoader pump mounting bolt has backed out, pump shows runout or misalignment p. 759
Remove the loader pump per the hydraulics section on page 759 and inspect the mounting flange for elongated bolt holes. Replace any stretched bolts and torque all pump mounting hardware to the value specified in the chart. Recheck pump alignment before restarting to prevent repeat bolt failure.
Manual Section: HydraulicsEngine hard to start or stalls repeatedly, especially after sitting overnight in cold weather p. 448
Inspect the fuel system per page 441. Check fuel lines for soft, aged rubber that can collapse under suction and starve the engine. Replace the engine fuel filter, which is rated for 500 hours of operation per the spec on page 448, and bleed air from the lines before restarting.
Manual Section: Fuel SystemEngine loses power and runs rough under load with visible black smoke p. 74
Pull and inspect both air cleaner elements per page 74. Case specifies replacement after 1000 hours of operation or one year, whichever comes first, so don't just blow them out if they're near that interval. A clogged element starves the engine of air and causes the rich, black smoke under load.

How to reset the parking brake?
To disengage the parking latch, move the parking latch levers to the horizontal position. If necessary, start the engine and run it at low idle, then move the direction control levers in either direction until the pins move freely.
