This is the factory service manual, 8-17012, for the Case 850E and 855E crawler dozers, and unlike some Case volumes this one is complete - the full Engine and Fuel System sections are bound in alongside the chassis work. So you get cylinder head, crankshaft and timing procedures, injection pump and injector service, track and undercarriage wear limits, torque converter and steering clutch overhaul, brake band adjustment, and the whole hydraulic circuit with pressure testing. These are mechanical machines with no ECU, so diagnosis is done the honest way - a pressure gauge, a flow meter and a tape measure - and the manual gives you the actual numbers to test against, like the 2150 to 2300 psi dozer main relief setting. Written for the person doing the work.
