Part of the Case Repair Manuals.
When a Case skid steer starts dragging its brakes, the loader ignores the joysticks or a DPF code lights the cluster, this book walks the checks in order, from charge pressure to the EST procedure for each code. It is the factory service manual 48068130 for the Alpha Series Tier 4B Final SR210, SR240, SV280 skid steers and TR270, TR310, TV370 compact track loaders.
It covers the engine, the hydrostatic drive with pump and motor torques and decontaminating, hydraulic systems with schematic frames, axles and chain drive, tracks and track tension, climate control, the complete electrical system with schematic sheets and harness views, and a fault code section from page 1467 to 2304 with cause and solution steps for each code. Standard torque tables and fold out electrical and hydraulic schematics are included.

Case SR210–TV370 Alpha Series Common Problems This Manual Covers
Brakes drag and loader response is slow
The book ties dragging brakes and slower than normal pilot operation of drive or loader to low charge pressure. The charge pressure switch signals the Instrument Cluster when pressure is too low, so start with the charge pressure circuit and the hydrostatic charge pressure test before replacing brake parts.
Manual Section: Electronic modules, charge pressure p. 1422Black smoke and DPF flow resistance high
When the ECU sees DPF soot level above the threshold or high flow resistance, black smoke shows at the exhaust. Check that the DPF filter is mounted properly and not cracked, refit it correctly or replace it if damaged, and the fault clears at the end of the next regeneration cycle.
Manual Section: Fault codes, Diesel particulate filter p. 1908Loader will not respond to the joysticks
Work the troubleshooting table: make sure the cab door is fully closed if fitted, align and test the cab door switch, then calibrate the joysticks using the Electronic Service Tool and check whether the joystick linkage needs readjustment on mechanically controlled machines.
Manual Section: Front loader arm hydraulic system, Troubleshooting p. 590Telematics module has no power
Check the fuse first. If no power light is on, check that both constant power and switched power are present and functioning between 9 and 32 V, and make sure the grounding is solid, using a solid chassis ground when in doubt about the existing ground path.
Manual Section: Telematics, Troubleshooting p. 1438Hydrostatic pump failed with contamination
Contamination stays in the closed loop and will damage the remaining components. Remove the failed pump and motor, and the opposite pair too if contamination is heavy, clean and inspect them, flush hoses and tubes with hot soapy water and let them dry, then drain and inspect the hydraulic oil.
Manual Section: Hydrostatic transmission, Decontaminating p. 337Frequently Asked Questions
How do I calibrate the joysticks on the Case SR210 to TV370?
The joysticks are calibrated with the Electronic Service Tool (EST). The book calls for joystick calibration when a joystick is replaced, when the operator complains about loader or ground drive feel, and when code 1211 Joystick Calibration not Complete is active. p. 782
What must be done after a hydrostatic pump or motor fails?
You must clean the whole hydrostatic system: remove the failed pump and motor, clean and inspect them inside and out, flush the hoses and tubes with hot soapy water, then drain the hydraulic oil and inspect it for contamination. p. 337
How do I clear fault code 1207 on the Case SR210 to TV370?
Connect the Electronic Service Tool to the machine diagnostics connector, sit in the seat to power the controllers, then use EST to reset the machine model configurations and clear the fault code. p. 1516
Does DPF fault 3427 on the Case SR210 to TV370 clear by itself?
Yes, once the cause is fixed. Check that the DPF filter is installed properly and replace it if damaged; the fault clears at the end of the next regeneration cycle. If it persists, check the other DPF codes. p. 1779
What is the tilt cylinder bolt torque on the Case SR210 to TV370?
The bolt securing the tilt cylinder to the loader arm pin is torqued to 181 - 245 N·m (134 - 181 lb ft). p. 599
What is the undercarriage mounting torque on the Case TR270, TR310 and TV370?
Apply LOCTITE 243 to the bolts and torque the undercarriage mounting bolts and nuts to 216.0 - 292.0 N·m (159.0 - 215.0 lb ft) after the frame contacts all side and bottom mount surfaces. p. 654
What is the front idler bolt torque on the Case TR270, TR310 and TV370?
Older style M10 x 16 mm bolt: 46.0 - 51.0 N·m (34.0 - 38.0 lb ft). Newer style M20 x 40 mm bolt: 381.0 - 516.0 N·m (281.0 - 381.0 lb ft). Apply LOCTITE 243 first. p. 682
