Doosan DX140LC hydraulic power fades when hot, boom and arm slow, digging force drops

Check main relief pressure at the test port; the DX140LC spec on page 72 calls for 330 kg/cm2 in normal mode. If pressure sags as the oil warms, suspect internal pump leakage. Replace the 10 micron return line filter (page 270) and inspect the reservoir intake strainer before condemning the pump.

Clean the oil cooler fins with compressed air and clear any debris blocking airflow between the cooler and radiator. Work through the high oil temperature chart starting. Drain and refill if the oil is contaminated, then retorque hydraulic hose clamps to 0.5 to 0.6 kg•m so suction lines seal tight.

Remove the center joint and inspect the O-rings and sliding surfaces for scoring or embedded grit. Measure spindle clearances against the limits on page 315: 0.5 mm (0.020 in) between spindle and thrust plate, 0.1 mm between spindle and body. Replace seals as a complete kit and keep the bore spotless during assembly.
