The engine is down on power, smokes, or runs rough.
Do not treat it like a mechanical diesel. The IVECO F3A uses electronically controlled high-pressure pump-injectors, so timing and delivery are commanded rather than set. Work the engine section, which explains how the pumping element is driven and how the solenoid controls the injection event, and check for stored faults on the electronic side before you pull an injector.
