Part of the New Holland Repair Manuals.
A boom that will not hold level with rain in the forecast is the job this 835-page New Holland Guardian SP.295F-SP.400F service manual PDF was written for, covering the Guardian SP.295F, SP.300F, SP.345F and SP.400F Tier 4B (final) sprayers under OEM number 47691240. Hydraulic schematics trace the machine leveling control and fan drive cooling circuits line by line, while wiring diagrams map the harnesses and connectors feeding every electronic module. Fault code tables decode what the display is throwing, and the hydrostatic drive chapter takes the pump and motor apart on paper before you do it in the shop. The hydraulic tank holds approximately 132 liters, the fuel-water separator needs refilling with the hand pump if more than 59 ml is drained, and half inch Grade 5 hardware takes 109 to 130 Nm. Guess wrong and you buy the pump twice. Bookmarked and keyword searchable, this PDF moves you from symptom to spec and puts the sprayer back over the crop while the spray window is still open.

New Holland Guardian SP.295F-SP.400F Common Problems This Manual Covers
New Holland Guardian sprayer hydraulics slow and noisy once oil warms up, boom functions lose power mid-field
Check the reservoir level first; the hydraulic tank holds approximately 132 l (35 US gal) of NEW HOLLAND AMBRA HYDROSYSTEM 68 (page 30). The thermal bypass valve starts to close at 54 °C (130 °F) and is fully closed at 66 °C (150 °F), forcing oil through the cooler; if the cooler is blocked or restricted, its relief function opens at 3.5 Kg/cm² (50.0 psi) to bypass it (page 338). Clean debris out of the radiator, oil cooler, CAC and AC condenser fins (page 634).
Manual Section: Hydraulic Systems p. 338Engine cranks strong but will not start, or fires then dies after a few seconds
Shut off the engine, open drain valve (1) of the fuel-water separator and drain until the fuel is clear of water, then close the valve hand-tight without overtightening. If more than 59 ml (2 US fl oz) of fuel/water was drained, refill the separator with the hand pump, then run the engine and check for leaks (page 68). For engine problems not covered here, the book refers you to the Cummins engine operation and maintenance manual (page 634).
Manual Section: Engine p. 68Engine temperature climbs under load, coolant boils over during long spray passes on hot afternoons
For coolant temperature too high, the troubleshooting on page 634 lists cleaning the air inlet screens, cleaning debris out of the radiator, oil cooler, CAC and AC condenser fins, and checking coolant level. Coolant capacity is approximately 38 l (10 US gal) of NEW HOLLAND AMBRA AGRIFLU 50-50 water and ethylene glycol mix, not including the heater core or cab plumbing (page 30).
Manual Section: Engine p. 634Wheel motor noisy under load, machine will not reach normal ground speed
On the SP.400F MW-24 wheel motor table (page 169), a motor noisy under load points to clattering from boost pressure too low (set the counterpressure valve) or cavitation from excessive internal leaks. A motor that does not revolve at normal speed under load points to low pump flow, low working pressure (check the safety valve setting), the replenishing circuit or internal leaks. SP.295F and SP.400F machines have two shift accumulators charged with 250 PSI of dry nitrogen gas (page 167).
Manual Section: Hydrostatic Drive p. 169Air suspension sags overnight, compressor cycles constantly, ride gets rough with a full product tank
The air compressor operating pressure range is 8 - 9 Kg/cm² (115 - 125 psi); inspect the air discharge line for carbon deposits and clean and inspect the compressor cylinder head, valve assembly and discharge line if deposits exceed 1.52 mm (0.06 in) (page 380). The governor setting range is 8.1 - 8.8 Kg/cm² (page 383), and suspension cylinder rod exposure is set to 101.6 mm (4.0 in) (page 369).
Manual Section: Pneumatic System p. 380Frequently Asked Questions
What are the torque specifications for the wheel lug nuts on the New Holland SP.295F?
The wheel lug nuts on the New Holland SP.295F must be torqued to 610.1 N·m (450.0 lb ft). After one hour of use, they must be re-torqued to the same specification. p. 152
How do I reset the service timer on the New Holland SP.295F/SP.300F/SP.345F/SP.400F?
To reset the service timer, touch the 'Set Service Reminder' button on the engine screen. Use the up and down arrow keys to set the desired service time interval. p. 584
What is the hydraulic oil tank capacity for the New Holland SP series sprayers?
The hydraulic oil tank capacity for the SP.295F, SP.300F, SP.345F, and SP.400F is approximately 132 liters (35 US gallons). p. 30
What is the procedure for bleeding air from the wheel motor on the New Holland SP series?
To bleed the wheel motor, apply less than 34 kPa (5 psi) of air pressure to the hydraulic reservoir. Loosen the air bleed set screw on the wheel motor until air escapes and only oil flows, then tighten the screw. p. 205
What is the torque for the valving mounting screws on the hydrostatic drive pump of the New Holland Guardian SP.295F-SP.400F?
