Part of the New Holland Repair Manuals.
This is the factory repair manual for the New Holland T7.220, T7.235, T7.250, T7.260 and T7.270 tractors, document 47524342. It follows the CNH product structure: engine installation, the transmission, four-wheel drive, axles, PTO, brakes, hydraulics, the pneumatic system, hitches, steering, wheels, cab climate and electrical. Both transmissions are covered, the Power Command full powershift and the AutoCommand continuously variable box, and the manual links each model to its FPT engine type. The electrical section runs from page 2172 to page 6171, and the fault-code tables alone fill more than a third of the book.

New Holland T7.220-T7.270 Common Problems This Manual Covers
The hydraulics are slow, the powerlift will not hold, or a remote valve is weak.
Establish the build before you test. The Power Command runs a closed CCLS system with either a 120 l/min pump or the 150 l/min Hi Flow option, and the manual shows the rating plate of each so you can identify yours. Then work the pressures: the lift cylinder safety valve limits peaks to 230 bar, and the low pressure vane pump supply should sit at 22 to 25 bar. The EDC control valve is microcomputer-controlled, so pull any stored code before you condemn it.
Manual Section: Hydraulic SystemsA stored fault code, a sensor fault, or a tractor that derates for no visible reason.
Read the code and go to the fault-code section, which fills the back half of the book. Each code carries the conditions that set it and a guided diagnostic naming what to measure and where. Codes such as an oil temperature sensor open circuit or an outlet temperature sensor shorted to ground look alike on the dash but point at different circuits. Follow the harness drawing to the connector the test names and back-probe there.
Manual Section: Electrical Systems: Fault Codes and DiagnosticsSteering feels different from another tractor, or SuperSteer behaves oddly.
Check which steering circuit the tractor carries. On standard models the steering, low pressure and lubrication circuits are an open system, but on SuperSteer models the steering circuit is configured as dynamic load-sensing hydraulics, and it fails and is tested differently. The steering section covers the circuit, the cylinders and the SuperSteer axle, and the hydraulic section covers the supply that feeds them.
Manual Section: SteeringFrequently Asked Questions
Which tractors does this manual cover?
The T7.220, T7.235, T7.250, T7.260 and T7.270. The manual links each model to its FPT engine type: F4DFE613L*A on the T7.220, F4DFE613K*A on the T7.235, F4DFE613J*A on the T7.250, F4DFE613H*A on the T7.260 and F4DFE613G*A on the T7.270. It covers both the Power Command powershift and the AutoCommand continuously variable transmission where each is offered.
What hydraulic pump and pressures does it specify?
On the Power Command the high pressure circuit is a closed system fed by a 120 l/min (31.7 US gpm) CCLS variable displacement pump, with a 150 l/min (39.6 US gpm) Hi Flow axial piston pump as the option, and the manual shows the rating plate of each. The lift cylinder safety valve limits pressure peaks to 230 bar (3335.0 psi). Low pressure supply comes from a vane pump running 22 to 25 bar.
Is the electronic powerlift covered?
Yes. The EDC control valve is a microcomputer-controlled magnetic sub-plate valve mounted under the driver's cab, with the lift cylinder safety valve integrated into it. The hydraulic section covers its operation, the control it exerts over the powerlift, and the test and overhaul procedures, and the fault-code section carries the codes it raises.
How much of the manual is electrical?
Most of it. The electrical section runs from page 2172 to page 6171. Machine control circuits sit at 2172 to 2230, harness and connector diagrams at 2231 to 3059, the electronic modules, air brake option, climate circuits, warning indicators and anti-lock brake system at 3060 to 3879, and the fault-code index and guided diagnostics from 3880 to 6171.
How big is the manual and can I search it?
It runs to 6238 pages in English and is a searchable, printable PDF. Search the text, print the pages you need for the bench, and keep the rest on a laptop in the workshop.
