New Holland T7.240, T7.245, T7.260 Common Problems This Manual Covers

Low oil pressure

Engine - Troubleshooting lists low oil pressure with a low engine oil level as the first cause to rule out. Fill to the proper level, which is 15 l (3.96 US gal) per the fluid capacities table. The same table then lists wrong grade of oil, a clogged oil pump filter and a faulty oil pressure relief valve, each with its correction.

Manual Section: Engine - Troubleshooting p. 60
Powershift transmission test stops with code U26

The Full Powershift transmission test lists U26 under unexpected conditions: the clutch pedal is not fully up. Release the clutch pedal fully and restart the test. The Transmission section also covers clutch pressure testing and the calibration procedure for the Full Powershift 18x6.

Manual Section: Powershift transmission - Test p. 228
Hydraulic clogged filter warning light lit

Hydraulic systems - Troubleshooting points to an incorrect rear axle oil level as a cause of the clogged filter warning. Add oil to the rear axle. The shared transmission, axle, hydraulic and brake sump fills to 82 l (21.7 US gal) maximum. The Hydraulic Systems section also covers the reservoir, cooler and filters.

Manual Section: Hydraulic systems - Troubleshooting p. 668
Fault code 1029 - hydraulic control valve disconnected

FAULT CODES - DTC gives faulty connector as the first cause for 1029. Make sure the connectors are mated and undamaged, the pins sit in the correct position and the fit is tight. Repair or replace as needed. To trace the circuit back, use the SH02-SH59 electrical schematic sheets and the wire connector component diagrams.

Manual Section: Electrical systems - FAULT CODES p. 1677
