Note the symbol and the four or five digit fault code in the Dot Matrix Display: the first digit(s) give the general location of the fault and the following numbers its exact nature, such as an open or short circuit (page 585). For lack of power, the engine troubleshooting table on page 588 lists an overloaded engine, a restricted air cleaner, low operating temperature, overheating and clogged fuel filter(s).
