Part number 47445474 covers the Power Shuttle with its hydraulic circuit drawn out, next to the 12 x 4 gearbox, 20 x 12 creeper and 12 x 12 reverser. This is the New Holland service manual for the TD5.65, TD5.75, TD5.85, TD5.95, TD5.105 and TD5.115, dated August 2013.

The book also covers engine removal, disassembly and assembly for the 3-cylinder and 4-cylinder engines. It covers the clutch, 4WD, both axles, PTO, brakes, hydraulic lift, steering and cab climate control too. The 8000 engine head bolts take 70 N·m (51.63 lb ft) + 90° + 90°, and the book prints that figure.

Troubleshooting tables list the cause and correction for each fault, and electrical schematic frames 01 to 15 cover the wiring.

New Holland TD5.65–TD5.115 Series Common Problems This Manual Covers

Hydraulic lift will not raise

Start with the cheap fix. The troubleshooting table lists a clogged oil filter first, so replace the filter. Next, check whether the control valve is jammed in the discharge position, and release it if it is. If the lift still won't raise, the hydraulic pump is defective and needs an overhaul or a replacement.

Manual Section: Hydraulic Systems p. 772
Steering wheel excessively stiff

The steering troubleshooting table gives two causes. An inefficient hydraulic pump needs repair. A pressure relief valve that is set wrong needs resetting to 100 bar (1450 psi) on 2WD models or 125 bar (1813 psi) on 4WD models.

Manual Section: Steering p. 837
Brakes ineffectual or braking unbalanced

The brake troubleshooting table treats these as two separate faults. If braking is weak overall, the friction material on the brake discs is worn, so replace the discs. If the tractor pulls to one side, check tyre pressure first. Then look for worn friction material on one disc and replace the discs.

Manual Section: Brakes and Controls p. 682
Clutch slips on the 8000 engine tractors

The clutch troubleshooting table for the 8000 engine lists three causes. Measure the clutch plates against the data given and replace any worn parts. Replace the Belleville spring if it is deformed. If there is oil or grease on the linings, replace the discs and fix the source of the grease.

Manual Section: Clutch p. 381

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this manual cover my New Holland TD5.65, TD5.75, TD5.85, TD5.95, TD5.105 or TD5.115?

It does. This is the New Holland service manual for all six models, part number 47445474, dated August 2013. The TD5.65 and TD5.75 have the 3-cylinder engine. The TD5.95, TD5.105 and TD5.115 have the 4-cylinder engine. p. 1

How much engine oil, coolant and transmission oil do the New Holland TD5.65 to TD5.115 tractors take?

Engine oil is SAE 15W-40. The TD5.65 and TD5.75 take 7.6 l (2.01 US gal), the TD5.85 takes 8.5 l (2.25 US gal), and the TD5.95, TD5.105 and TD5.115 take 10 l (2.64 US gal). Coolant without a cab is 11 l (2.91 US gal), 12 l (3.17 US gal) and 14 l (3.70 US gal), in the same model order. With a cab it is 13 l (3.43 US gal), 14 l (3.70 US gal) and 16 l (4.23 US gal). The rear transmission, gearbox, hydraulic lift and PTO share 46 l (12.15 US gal) of SAE 10W - 30. Each rear final drive takes 5.3 l (1.40 US gal). The fuel tank holds 110 l (29.06 US gal). p. 14

What are the New Holland TD5 engine power, displacement, oil pressure and valve clearances?

The TD5.65 makes 48 kW (65 Hp) and the TD5.75 makes 53 kW (72 Hp), both from 2931 cm³ (178.86 in³). The TD5.95 makes 70 kW (95 Hp), the TD5.105 78 kW (106 Hp) and the TD5.115 83 kW (113 Hp), all from 4485 cm³ (273.69 in³). Warm oil pressure on the 3-cylinder engine is 2.4 - 3.8 bar (34.8 - 55.1 psi) at 2475 - 2575 RPM. Its valve clearance is 0.25 - 0.35 mm (0.0098 - 0.0138 in) for intake and exhaust. On the 4-cylinder engine, intake clearance is 0.20 - 0.30 mm (0.0079 - 0.0118 in) and exhaust is 0.45 - 0.55 mm (0.0177 - 0.0217 in). p. 29

What is the TD5 lift capacity and how are the lift and steering relief valves set?

Measured with the load 610 mm from the lower link ball ends, the three-point hitch lifts 2260 kg (4982.45 lb) on the TD5.65 and TD5.75. It lifts 2700 kg (5952.48 lb) on the TD5.85 to TD5.115. With the top link on the upper support pin, those figures become 3000 kg (6613.87 lb) and 3565 kg (7859.48 lb). The lift pressure relief valve is set at 186 - 191 bar (2697 - 2770 psi). The cylinder safety valve is set at 210 - 215 bar (3045 - 3117.5 psi). Steering relief is 100 bar (1450 psi) on 2WD models and 125 bar (1813 psi) on 4WD models. p. 730

What is inside this manual: wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, troubleshooting, engine overhaul?

It has electrical schematic frames 01 to 15 and connector component diagrams 01 to 09. It also has the Power Shuttle hydraulic circuit and the hydraulic lift diagrams. Engine removal, disassembly and assembly come with their specifications and torques. There are troubleshooting tables for the clutch, rear axle, PTO, brakes, hydraulic lift, steering, wheels and air conditioning. p. 953
