Takeuchi's 196-page operator manual AT7E023 keeps your TL130 crawler loader on factory routine, and it covers all four variants in the TL120 through TL150 series. If you searched for a Takeuchi TL130 operator manual PDF, this is the original document: safety and controls fill close to a third of the book, and maintenance takes another quarter, built around the service data tables. The troubleshooting section works through engine overheating, battery and fuel faults, blown fuses, warning lamps and lift arm problems, and the operation chapters cover rubber crawler care plus loading, hoisting and tying down for transport. Change the engine oil filter after the first 50 hours, then every 250; the hydraulic return filter gets the same 50-hour first change, then every 500. An idle loader burns hours nobody can bill. Print the pages you use most, take them to the bench and let them get greasy; the bookmarked, text-searchable file stays clean for the next lookup.

Takeuchi TL120, TL130, TL140, TL150 Common Problems This Manual Covers

Takeuchi TL120 to TL150 crawler loader engine overheating and coolant temperature warning lamp flashing

Check what the coolant temperature warning lamp means in the If a Warning Lamp Flashes table, then work through the overheating inspection procedure in the Troubleshooting section starting on page 148. Inspect the cooling system and complete the documented cooling system maintenance before you go back to cycling loads.

Manual Section: If the Engine Overheats
Air cleaner warning lamp flashing during operation before the scheduled filter service interval

Replace the air cleaner outer element as soon as the air cleaner warning lamp lights, no matter how many hours are on it. Otherwise page 103 sets the interval at every 250 hrs. Check the If a Warning Lamp Flashes table to confirm what the lamp means, and log the change against the maintenance schedule on page 101.

Manual Section: Maintenance p. 103
Battery goes dead on the job and the engine will not crank

Connect jumper cables in the connection sequence given in the If the Battery Goes Dead procedure, then start the engine the way it describes. Disconnect the jumper cables in the order the manual gives. Recharge the battery afterward. If it keeps dying, check the meaning of the battery charge warning lamp in the warning lamp table.

Manual Section: If the Battery Goes Dead
Engine cranks but will not start after the fuel tank runs dry

Fill the fuel tank, then bleed the air out of the fuel system using the After the Fuel Runs Out procedure before you crank it again. If it still starts hard after bleeding, check when the fuel filter cartridge was last changed. Page 103 calls for replacing it every 500 hrs.

Manual Section: After the Fuel Runs Out
Blown fuse or failed fusible link leaves electrical switches and circuits dead on the machine

Inspect each fuse against the fuse layout in the If a Fuse Blows section on page 153 and replace any blown fuse the way that procedure directs. If the circuit is still dead, inspect the fusible link next. If a new fuse blows right away, the fault is still in the circuit. Find it before you put in more fuses.

Manual Section: If a Fuse Blows p. 153
Lift arms stay raised after the engine stops and will not lower with the controls

Check that nobody is under the raised lift arms, then lower them with the emergency lowering procedure in the To Lower the Lift Arms section on page 159, which covers lowering with the engine stopped. Follow each step in order. Once the arms are on the ground, find out why the engine stopped before you put the loader back to work.

Manual Section: To Lower the Lift Arms p. 159
