How do I bleed air after changing the fuel filter?
Loosen the air-bleeding screws on the fuel filter and fuel injection pump. Then vent the fuel injection piping by loosening the injection pipe nipple on the valve side, repeating several times, and retighten firmly (page 19).
Why does the alarm buzzer sound when I stop the engine?
When the engine is stopped with the starter switch ON, the lube oil pressure warning buzzer sounds. This is normal in that state and does not indicate engine trouble (page 24).
How often should the fuel filter be replaced on the GM series?
Replace the main fuel filter every 300 hours per the maintenance schedule on page 34, and set the fuel injection pressure to 170 ± 5 kg/cm² when servicing the injectors.
