Case 580LE–590LSP Series Common Problems This Manual Covers
580LSP/590LSP backhoe works slower than usual, even in Normal mode or Fine mode
Check that the two-speed solenoid valve is working before you go further. Do this with the component inspection procedure (C7) in the 580LSP/590LSP electronic system and troubleshooting booklet, which lists the backhoe running more slowly than usual in Normal mode or in Fine mode.

Watch the tachometer and hourmeter on the instrument panel first. If they do not work correctly, or the H17 and H18 lamps flash error code 25 or 26, check the tachometer connection between wire (31S) on connector (X19) and pin (30) on the control box (J2) connector.

Put a gauge on test point M1 and read the pump supply pressure. Possible causes are a stuck or damaged cold oil by-pass valve, a bad pressure regulator or a bad pump. Section 6007 covers repairing or replacing them. If pressure stays at zero in forward, neutral and reverse, look at the control valve.

Adding refrigerant alone won't fix this because the gas has leaked out somewhere. Check the system for leaks, then remove all traces of the old refrigerant. Repair the leaks, then charge with new R-134a. The air conditioning booklet covers the charging procedure and compressor service.

What hydraulic pump output and relief valve settings does the manual give for the 580LE and 580SLE?
The 580LE pump is rated at 108 L/min and 210 bar at 2200 rpm. The 580SLE has a two-body pump. The rear body gives 104 L/min and the front body 36 L/min, both at 210 bar and 2200 rpm. Yes, but only for the 580LSP and 590LSP electronic system. The green indicator lamp (H18) flashes the tens and the blue lamp (H17) flashes the units. Each code table lists the component, the possible cause, the error code and its type. Supply voltage too low is 48 and too high is 49. A control box internal defect in the diagnostic circuits is 91. Rpm no swing is 25 and rpm incorrect swing speed is 26. Error code 93 cancels all the other codes. p. 134
