New Holland CR7.80–CR10.90 Common Problems This Manual Covers
DTC 2213: engine coolant temperature sensor voltage is lower than expected
Look up DTC 2213 in the engine ECU part of the FAULT CODES - DTC section and follow its circuit test. Measure the resistance of coolant temperature sensor B-9003 as directed. If the reading is minimal or zero, the sensor has failed internally. Replace the sensor.
Manual Section: Electrical systems - FAULT CODES p. 3318E0001-03: grain tank covers closed sensor shorted to high source
Follow the UCM1 E-code circuit test for E0001-03. Disconnect sensor B-191 at connector X-191 and check which code is active. If E0001-05 appears, the grain tank covers closed sensor B-191 has failed internally. Replace the grain tank covers closed sensor B-191.
Manual Section: Electrical systems - FAULT CODES p. 3958E0265-03: feedrate lateral inclination sensor shorted to high source
Find E0265-03 under the inclination sensor codes and follow its circuit test. Disconnect lateral inclination sensor B-108 at connector X-108P. If E0265-05 then appears, the wiring is working properly and B-108 has failed internally. Replace the lateral inclination sensor B-108.
Manual Section: Electrical systems - FAULT CODES p. 4631Hydrostatic transmission oil temperature too high
The hydrostatic transmission troubleshooting chart lists low oil level and a blocked oil cooler as causes of high oil temperature. For low oil level, check for leaks and fill the reservoir to the correct level. For a blocked oil cooler, clean or replace the cooler as required.
Manual Section: Hydrostatic transmission - Troubleshooting p. 504Frequently Asked Questions
Which machines does the New Holland CR7.80-CR10.90 Revelation service manual cover?
It covers the CR7.80, CR7.90, CR8.80, CR8.90, CR9.80, CR9.90 and CR10.90 Revelation rotary combines. The applicability pages give PIN ranges for each variant across Stage IV, Tier 2, Tier 4B and MY19 builds, on tires or tracks. FPT Cursor engine codes are printed for each variant, for example F2CFE613A*B042 and F3JFE613A*B003. The manual states that engine repair information is not contained in it. p. 1
What hydraulic oil capacities are listed for the New Holland CR7.80-CR10.90 Revelation combines?
The hydraulic reservoir holds 37 l (9.8 US gal), and the entire hydraulic system takes 100 l (26.4 US gal). The PTO gearbox system takes 20 - 23 L (5.3 - 6.1 US gal), depending on cooler size. p. 691
How do the hydrostatic pumps differ across the New Holland CR7.80-CR10.90 Revelation models?
The CR7.80 and CR7.90 use a 145 cm³/rev (8.8 in³/rev) hydrostatic pump. The CR8.80, CR8.90, CR9.80, CR9.90 and CR10.90 use a 175 cm³/rev (10.7 in³/rev) pump. Both tables list a cut off pressure of 470 bar (6815 psi), and the listed maximum pump speed is 2917 rpm. Don't mix that up with the main hydraulic pump, which is rated at 210 bar (3045 psi) with 19 bar (275.5 psi) standby. p. 468
Does the New Holland CR7.80-CR10.90 Revelation manual give torque values for specific assemblies?
On the CR7.80 and CR7.90 HD2 final drive, the wheel nuts take 710 - 790 N·m (524 - 583 lb ft). The final drive to traction beam bolts take 470 - 530 N·m (347 - 391 lb ft). The service brake shoe Allen screws are 260-270 Nm (192-200 ft.lbs), and the hydraulic pump drive housing is 190-210 N·m (140-155 ft. lbs.). p. 359
Does the New Holland CR7.80-CR10.90 Revelation service manual include wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics and fault codes?
Yes. The electrical schematic sheets are split by subsystem, for example SH016 STARTING_CHARGING, SH025 ENGINE: ECU T4B, GRID AND SCR HEATER and SH091 VEHICLE CAN BUS 1. The hydraulic circuits are drawn on hydraulic schema Sheet 1 with detail sheets, plus Sheet 2 and Sheet 3. The fault code section has alarm descriptions, engine ECU DTCs and UCM1/UCM2 E-codes, with step-by-step circuit tests. p. 1377
