New Holland E55Bx Common Problems This Manual Covers
Hydraulic pump is noisy and the hydraulic oil looks cloudy white
The hydraulic troubleshooting chart in the Troubleshooting (Hydraulic and Electrical) chapter traces this to a shortage of hydraulic oil. Replenish the hydraulic oil to the correct level before you condemn the pump. Then run the machine again and listen for the noise.

Before you blame a travel motor, the hydraulic troubleshooting chart sends you to the undercarriage. Check whether the shoe tension on each track is within the reference value. If it is not, adjust shoe tension at the idler adjuster as shown in the Travel System chapter. That chapter gives 73.5 N-m (54.2 lbf-ft) as the tightening torque for the idler adjuster grease nipple. Then test straight-line travel again.

The swing operational failure chart first asks whether the dozer is operable; with a yes it moves on to the swing circuit. Check whether the swing relief valve is normal. The electrical troubleshooting chart for the horn has you press the horn switch and measure voltage between the brown-red and black harness wires. If you read 12V there, the switch and harness are doing their job. The horn itself has failed, so replace the horn and test it again.
