Gearbox parts are where TM135 orders go wrong. The Hi-Lo 24x12 shuttle, 18x6 Semi Power-Shift and Hi-Lo 23x12 each get their own exploded figures. Equip. codes and serial breaks on the part lines tell them apart.
If you guess the build, you can buy a gear set that does not fit and end up splitting the tractor a second time. The book gives the same detail for the engine (assembly 87801771), every front axle from 2WD to suspended Terralock, the final drives and the cab. The 72LA farm loader has its own section from 4/00 onward.

New Holland TM135 Common Problems This Manual Covers
Two main front cables are listed and the wrong one gets ordered.
Go to Electrical System Cables and read the serial break on the part line. Tractors up to serial 152835 take 82016204, and tractors from 152836 onward take 82019697. Check the serial plate before you order.

Battery Mounting lists two batteries. The standard one is 12V - 140Ah - 1200A, while tractors with the SuperSteer front axle take 82012860, 12V - 95Ah - 900A. The alternator figure in the Engine section lists 82010243 at 100A and 82014508 at 120A under Equip. 179 (page 107).
Manual Section: Electrical System p. 303There are two remote valve groups and no clear way to tell which one the tractor has.
The Remote Valves figures in the PTO and Hydraulic Lift section are split into groups C4660 and D4660. The changeover falls at tractor serial 148731B / 148732B. Read your serial plate first, then open the matching group and order from the Ref numbers on that exploded view.

Start with the 72LA Figure Index at p.1073. The Lift Cylinder and Loader Hydraulics figures cover the cylinder and hose side, and the SuperSteer Mount Kit covers the brackets for that axle. The Loader Joystick Valve figure is in the tractor's Rear Axle Options and Loader Valves groups.

Which tractors and serial numbers does this TM135 parts catalog cover?
The tractor figures cover the TM135 from 11/99 onward (page 14), and the 72LA farm loader section starts at 4/00 (page 1073). The book does not print one serial range for everything. Instead, serial breaks appear on individual part lines. For example, the main front cable is 82016204 BSN 152835 and 82019697 ASN 152836 (page 401). The abbreviation pages explain that BSN means used on and below and ASN means used on and above. p. 14
How do I find a part number quickly in a 1,151-page catalog?
Open the Figure Search index at the front, pages 2 to 13, and find the figure code for your group. Press Ctrl+F in Adobe, type that figure number and hit Enter. My TM135 has a Hi-Lo or Semi Power-Shift transmission and a SuperSteer or standard axle: which pages are mine?
Each build has its own figure group. The Hi-Lo 24x12 shuttle starts at p.560, the 18x6 Semi Power-Shift at p.596 and the Hi-Lo 23x12 at p.630. Front axles are split the same way: 4WD at p.256, 2WD at p.282, SuperSteer 4WD at p.680 and suspended 4WD with Terralock at p.718. Where are the filter part numbers for routine maintenance?
The MPARTS illustration on p.16 points you to the right groups. The engine oil filter element is 81879134 (page 93), the fuel filter is 87840590 (page 79) and the fuel filter element is 87801341 (page 81). The engine air filters are 82008604, 82008606 and 82008607 (page 149). The hydraulic oil filter is 9821387 (page 231) and the cab filter is 82018373 (page 479). p. 16
Does it include the 72LA loader and dealer accessory kits?
Yes to both. The 72LA farm loader section runs from p.1073 to p.1135 and covers the main frame, SuperSteer mount kit, loader hydraulics, lift cylinder and pallet fork. North American dealer-installed accessories are on p.42-43. French and Spanish decal kits and the tool set are near the back.
