New Holland TN60DA-TN95DA Series Common Problems This Manual Covers
The engine cranks well but starts hard, runs rough or smokes.
Test before you replace. A compression test comes first, and the manual notes that no more than 3 bar difference between cylinders is acceptable, so it tells you straight away whether the fault is mechanical. If compression is even, move to injection: start of delivery is 12 degrees before TDC, and the engine section gives the pump timing procedure, the injector settings and the fuel circuit bleeding routine. Check the valve clearances at 0.30 mm cold on both valves while you are in there.
Manual Section: SECTION 10 - ENGINEThe three-point lift is slow, will not hold a load, or the remotes fade as the oil warms.
Work the hydraulic section in order. It splits the tractor into a high-pressure and a low-pressure circuit and gives the pressure test procedure for each, so you can tell a tired pump from a lift control that has drifted out of adjustment. It then covers the pump, the lift with its draft, position and float controls, the remote control valves and the three-point linkage, with the test points and the overhaul procedures for the pump and the lift housing.

Find your build first. The electrical section draws the schematics and connector views separately for the different option combinations, because a tractor with Auto FWD and a cab is wired differently from a plain two-wheel-drive machine. Trace the circuit to the connector and test it there rather than replacing parts. The electrohydraulic FWD engagement itself lives in the transfer box section, so an engagement fault can be followed from the switch through the harness to the clutch.

They are. Valve to rocker arm clearance is 0.30 plus or minus 0.05 mm on both intake and exhaust with the engine cold, and 0.45 mm is used for the timing check.
