Part of the New Holland Repair Manuals.
The New Holland E26C Service Manual (part number 51605673, June 2019) takes the E26C Cab and Canopy mini excavator apart one system at a time. It runs from the Kubota D1305 engine down to the rubber tracks. In between it covers pump adjustment, the main control valve, swing and travel motors, the swivel, EPPR auxiliary valves, cylinders, the quick coupler and the swing bearing.
A machine sitting with a slow travel motor or a dead work light costs a crew a day of guessing. This book gives you the test pressures, connector tables and rebuild steps.
The sections follow the way a shop works: engine, hydraulics, undercarriage, electrical, then boom, dipper, blade and cab. Large electrical and hydraulic foldout schematics sit at the end.

New Holland E26C Common Problems This Manual Covers
Engine does not start
The Engine troubleshooting table lists no fuel as a cause of an engine that does not start, and the remedy is to replenish fuel. The same table gives the other causes and remedies in order, and the fuel chapter covers the fuel filters, injection pump and injectors.
Manual Section: Engine - Troubleshooting p. 100Overload to engine
The pump troubleshooting table lists overload to engine with the cause speed is higher than standard, and the remedy is to readjust it as standard. The same chapter has the pump adjustment procedure and the delivery and relief pressure tests used to check the result.
Manual Section: Pump - Troubleshooting p. 399Work lamp does not light
Turn the starter ON and switch the work lamp ON. Then measure the voltage between terminal 2 of connector CL-5 and ground. If the voltage is within 10 - 12.5 V, the bulb is defective, so replace it. Use the harness location drawings and connector tables to find CL-5 quickly.
Manual Section: Work light - Service instruction - Troubleshooting p. 1283Travel motor rotating speed is slow
The travel motor troubleshooting table says rotating speed is slow when volumetric efficiency declines due to a defect in the motor, such as abnormal wear of sliding parts, and the remedy is to replace the worn part (kit). The Travel System chapter also lists the travel motor relief pressure of 21573 kPa (3129 psi) and covers disassembly and assembly.
Manual Section: Travel motor - Troubleshooting p. 689Frequently Asked Questions
Which machine does the New Holland E26C service manual cover?
It covers the New Holland E26C mini excavator in both the Cab and the Canopy version. It is part number 51605673, dated June 2019. No serial range is printed, so match it to your machine by model and operator station. p. 2
What engine does the New Holland E26C mini excavator use?
The E26C runs a Kubota D1305 with 1261 cm³ (77 in³) displacement and a 24 : 1 compression ratio. The book lists maximum torque as 81.4 N·m (60 lb ft) at 1600 RPM. The engine section covers compression testing, cylinder heads, crankshaft, pistons and valve drive. p. 24
How much does the New Holland E26C weigh with a cab and with a canopy?
Operating weight is 2580 kg (5688 lb) for the Cab version and 2430 kg (5357 lb) for the Canopy version. Both figures include boom, arm, bucket, full fluids and rubber tracks, without a quick coupler. The manual allows a tolerance of ± 3%, so build that into your trailer numbers. p. 26
How much engine oil, coolant and hydraulic oil does the New Holland E26C take?
Engine oil quantity is 5.7 L (1.5 US gal) and engine coolant is 5 L (1.3 US gal). The hydraulic system holds 55 L (14.5 US gal) in total. That figure is the capacity of the whole system, not of the tank. p. 24
Does the New Holland E26C manual include electrical and hydraulic schematics?
Yes. The Hydraulic Systems section has the hydraulic schemas and function circuits, including the pilot circuit. The electrical side has circuit schemas, numbered schematic sheets 01 to 14 and connector tables with Pin, Wire and Color-Size columns. Two-sheet electrical and hydraulic foldouts sit at the end of the file. It does not include a diagnostic trouble code list. p. 1086
