CNH W110 transmission delayed engagement, weak drive, low torque converter charge pressure when warm
Check transmission oil level and condition before condemning hardware. Run converter out and clutch pressure checks per the Power Train section beginning on page 261. Low charge pressure with good oil points to the transmission pump; replace it and torque the pump socket head screws to 46 Nm (407 pound-inches), shown on page 350.

Verify hydraulic oil level and look for milky or dark oil in the reservoir. Test main relief pressure against the 248 to 252 bar spec on page 541 before blaming the pump. If the filter is due, change it and refill the reservoir to 68.5 litres (18 gallons), page 34, then retest under full load.
