This is the Case factory service manual for the 1085C Cruz-Air wheeled excavator, issued May 1990, covering the 6-590, 6T-590, and 6TA-590 diesel engines.
Everything on this machine is mechanical. No ECU, no fault codes, nothing to plug a laptop into. Faults trace with a pressure gauge, a multimeter, and the five fold-out wiring schematic plates. The Hydraulics section carries its own fold-out schematics.

Slow crank, no crank, or weak charging
Work through the Starter and Alternator and Batteries procedures in the Electrical System section, which give bench test specs for both units. Then chase voltage drops on the five fold-out wiring plates before you buy a starter the machine may not need.

Five fold-out wiring schematic plates are included. There are no error codes to cover. This is a 1990 mechanical machine with no ECU, so every electrical fault traces to a wire, relay, switch, or ground. The plates plus a test light will find it. p. 385
My boom drifts down overnight. Will this book tell me if it is the valve or the cylinder?
Yes. The Hydraulics section has fold-out schematics, main control valve service, and pressure tests that isolate a leaking valve section from bypassing cylinder seals. Cylinder work is under Boom and Arm. Doing that test before ordering parts is the reason to own the book. p. 925
Does it cover the Case 1085C swing system and the swivels?
