Part of the Case Repair Manuals.
This is the factory service manual for the Case 1150M crawler dozer, 2011-2021, covering both Long Track and Wide Track/LGP machines. Inside you get teardown and rebuild procedures for the FPT F4HFE613F*A002 6.7 liter engine, the Rexroth dual path hydrostatic drive, hydraulics, brakes, undercarriage, HVAC, cab, and the blade group. Because this is a Tier 4 interim machine with SCR exhaust treatment, the electrical section carries real weight: harness and connector layouts plus a fault code section that walks hundreds of DTCs through context, cause, and solution steps. Torque specifications, fluid capacities (322 l fuel, 52 l DEF, 116.4 l hydraulic/transmission refill), and the maintenance chart sit up front where you actually reach for them.

Case 1150M Common Problems This Manual Covers
SCR inducement derate: DTC 3581 with fueling limited and no obvious mechanical fault
Do not start swapping DEF parts. The fault code section under Electrical systems gives DTC 3581 its own context, cause, and solution steps, tracing the inducement back through the SCR electrical system to the actual trigger, usually DEF quality, dosing, or a sensor circuit.
Manual Section: Electrical systems p. 1263Engine overheating under load, DTC 1319 Engine Coolant Temperature High - Critical
The Engine chapter covers the cooling system, fan, and aftercooler with test and repair procedures, so you can prove whether it is a plugged cooler core, a fan drive problem, or a genuine coolant flow issue before the head pays the price. Fault code steps for 1319 sit in the Electrical systems chapter.
Manual Section: Engine p. 1257Hydraulic oil running hot, DTC 1313 Hydraulic Oil Temperature Too High
Work through the Hydraulic systems chapter: cooler, reservoir, filters, and pump checks in order. The hydro drive shares that oil, so a lazy cooler or bypassing filter cooks both circuits. Refill capacity is 116.4 l (30.75 US gal), so know your fault before you dump that much fluid.
Manual Section: Hydraulic systems p. 1257Undercarriage wear and track tension problems eating rollers and stretching chains
The Tracks and track suspension chapter covers the track frame, tension units, rollers, driving wheels, and final drives, with removal and inspection procedures plus the master link bolt torque of 340.0-380.0 N.m. Undercarriage is the biggest owning cost on this machine, and correct tension is the cheapest fix in the book.
Manual Section: Tracks and track suspension p. 45Frequently Asked Questions
My 1150M threw a code and the dash says power is limited. Does this manual actually decode that?
Yes. The Electrical systems chapter has a fault code section covering hundreds of individual DTCs, each with context, cause, and step by step solution. For example DTC 3581 is SCR inducement protection with fueling limited, meaning the machine is punishing you for a DEF system problem, and the manual walks the diagnostic chain instead of leaving you guessing at sensors. p. 1263
The machine is derating over DEF/SCR issues. Is the aftertreatment system covered?
Covered from both ends. The Engine chapter handles the SCR exhaust treatment hardware, and the Electrical systems chapter covers the SCR electrical side including the DCU circuits. Between the two you can trace a DEF quality or dosing fault from the code on the screen to the component causing it. DEF tank capacity is 52 l (14 US gal) if you are flushing contaminated fluid. p. 76
Is the hydrostatic drive covered well enough to diagnose a weak or dead track?
The Hydrostatic drive chapter covers the Rexroth dual path pump and motor components, and the Tracks chapter picks up the dropbox and final drive behind them. Charge pump and fixed displacement pump service lives in the Hydraulic systems chapter. That is the full power path from engine to sprocket, which is what you need when one side loses pull. p. 225
Does it have real torque numbers or just generic charts?
Both. There is a standard torque chart in the Introduction plus special torques where they matter, like track master link bolts at 340.0-380.0 N.m (250.8-280.3 lb ft) and ripper mounting bolts at 700-1260 N.m (515-925 lb ft). Guessing on a master link is how tracks come apart in the cut. p. 45
Which machines does this fit, and how do I confirm mine is one of them?
It covers 1150M crawler dozers built roughly 2011-2021 in both Long Track and Wide Track/LGP configurations. The Introduction chapter includes product identification, so check your serial plate and confirm the engine model F4HFE613F*A002 against the spec pages before ordering parts off it. p. 78
