Written for the Steiger STX275 and STX325 tractors, this 236-page Case IH STX275 operator manual PDF (OEM ID Rac 6-6231) runs from serial number identification and safety decals to field operation and scheduled service. Field operation chapters walk through PTO engagement, drawbar setup, Category III or IV-N hitch couplers and remote hydraulics, while the instrumentation section decodes critical, non-critical, diagnostic and information warning displays. Ballast and tire service get a chapter of their own. Fill the STX275 with 6.3 gal (23.8 L) of engine oil and 11.4 gal (43.0 L) of coolant; the STX325 takes 7.25 gal (27.4 L) of oil. If your next job is calibrating the radar sensor or the steering controller, both procedures are in the instrumentation chapter. Bookmarked chapters and a searchable text layer take you straight to the Lubricants and Capacities chart, so you order the right oil and coolant quantities the first time.

Case IH STX275, STX325 Common Problems This Manual Covers

Case IH STX275 STX325 steering calibration shows CAL ERROR and steering reverts to rear articulation only

Verify the display reads CAL ERROR and not CAL FAILED, then contact your dealer for service. Page 65 treats CAL ERROR as a fault in some part of the steering system, and the controller falls back to rear articulation only steering. Before calling, open STEER VIEW and note the software revision code and the axle and articulation potentiometer positions.

Manual Section: Instrumentation p. 65
Accusteer steering calibration STEER SET MENU will not open on the performance monitor

Check that the steering control switch on the armrest console is ON and COMBINATION shows on the performance monitor. Start the tractor, then hold PROG for three seconds within the first ten seconds of startup until a short beep and INST SET MENU appear (page 66). Press DECR to reach STEER SET MENU. Clear the area of people and allow room for full left and right turns, per the warning on page 66.

Manual Section: Instrumentation p. 66
CAL FAILED screen appears at the ARTC CENTER or AXLE CENTER step during steering calibration

Verify the asterisk is on the display before pressing PROG, because recording off center gives CAL FAILED. Press PROG to return to the step. For ARTC CENTER, equalize the gap between front and rear frames on each side (page 66). For AXLE CENTER, center the articulation joint, then equalize front axle bar to rear axle bar distance on each side (page 67). Keep people clear and allow room for full turns (page 66).

Manual Section: Instrumentation p. 66
After switching to dual wheels or changing wheel spacing, front tires show wheel interference at full steer

Adjust the front steer stops by recalibrating; page 65 calls for calibration after changing from single to dual wheels or changing wheel spacing. In STEER CAL, select AXLE LEFT and AXLE RIGHT alone, steer to the desired stop, wait for the asterisk, and press PROG (page 67). Turn the key OFF and back ON to finish. Keep people clear and allow room for full left and right turns (page 66).

Manual Section: Instrumentation p. 65
Engine constant speed control switch stops increasing engine rpm when the top is pressed

Check the throttle lever position first. Page 47 states the constant speed control cannot set engine speed higher than the current throttle lever position, so move the throttle lever forward, then press the top of the switch again. Each press changes speed about 10 rpm. Verify the constant speed power switch is ON with the top of the rocker pressed.

Manual Section: Operating Controls p. 47
Non-critical warning display shows a hitch or remote hydraulic controller communication failure message

Check the controller fuses against the deluxe cab fuse and relay chart for your transmission: page 214 for powershift, page 215 for 24 speed. Inspect fuse 40 (10 A, HYD AUX/RMT VALVES) and fuse 41 (10 A, TPH on powershift, TPH/MEGA-FLOW on 24 speed). Verify fuses 9 and 37 (10 A, ICU/PMU display). Then review the warning listing on page 68 before running the three-point hitch or remotes.
