Check the oil level first; the tank holds 160 L (42 U.S. gal) and low level lets the pump pull air, which clouds the oil and drives temperature up. Drain, refill, and replace the return filter: a clogged element forces oil past the bypass valve, which opens at just 1.5 kgf/cm2, so contamination circulates unfiltered. Blow out the oil cooler fins while you are in there.

Verify the safety lever is fully down, then check pilot pressure at the pilot pump outlet; compare pilot pressure against the pilot relief setting in the hydraulic system section.
