Hyundai R55-7 Common Problems This Manual Covers
Hyundai R55-7 cranks but won't start, or engine dies suddenly, fuel cut solenoid suspected
Check the fuel cut solenoid wiring at connector CN-72 first. Test the solenoid coil: pull winding draws 33A at 12V, hold winding 0.8A, listed on page 142. Verify battery voltage and grounds before condemning parts; a corroded connector mimics a dead solenoid. Replace the solenoid only if it fails the current test.

Check hydraulic oil level and inspect the return filter and suction strainer before pulling anything apart. Test main relief pressure at the pump; spec is 220 kgf/cm2 on page 29. Shut the engine down immediately, do not finish the pass. Check the dipstick; engine oil capacity is 9.2 L, listed on page 28. Fill to the mark with the correct grade, restart, and watch the lamp. If it still blinks with a full sump, test oil pressure with a mechanical gauge before running the machine again.
