Part of the New Holland Repair Manuals.
You have the E10SR parked with one track loose and a crew waiting on the trench, and the question is whether the sag is adjustment or a worn idler. Pages 319 to 368 of this New Holland service manual walk the travel system apart: crawler, lower roller, front idler, sprocket, travel motor, slewing bearing.
It is the New Holland service manual for the E10SR mini crawler excavator, publication 84363846, covering serial numbers PA03-05001 and up with the Yanmar 2TNV70-WYB engine. 674 pages in English, split across specifications, hydraulic and electrical systems, component rebuilds, attachments, the upper slewing structure, troubleshooting, and the Yanmar engine chapters for fuel, cooling, lubrication, starter and alternator.
Every hour the machine sits idle costs more than this manual does. Download the PDF once and it stays yours for as long as you own the machine, on the shop laptop, the phone in the cab, or printed for the bench.

New Holland E10SR Common Problems This Manual Covers
Track sag and undercarriage wear
Loose track tension chews idlers and sprocket teeth long before the chain itself is worn out, and on soft ground a slack chain will throw itself off the front idler. The Travel System section covers crawler, lower roller, front idler, sprocket and travel motor service.
Manual Section: Travel System p. 319Slow or weak hydraulic power
When boom and arm speeds fall off under load, guessing between pump wear, a sticking control valve spool and a drifting relief setting costs a day of work. The Maintenance Standard and Test Procedure section gives the pressure measurement method, and hydraulic system pressure is specified at 20.6 MPa.
Manual Section: Maintenance Standard and Test Procedure p. 33Starter drags or will not crank
Worn starter brushes drop cranking speed until a warm engine starts and a cold one will not. The Starter Motor section sets brush length at 0.55 in. (14 mm) standard with a service limit of 0.44 in. (11.1 mm), so measure before buying a whole motor.
Manual Section: Starter Motor p. 624Bucket pin and bushing slop
Worn bucket pins and bushings show up as a bucket that wanders at the cut and as ovaled bores in the boss. The Attachments section covers boom, arm, bucket, dozer, swing and cylinder removal and rebuild, including the cylinder seal work that goes with a drifting ram.
Manual Section: Attachments p. 177Engine running hot in trench work
Radiator cores on a compact excavator pack with dust and silt, and a tired thermostat or coolant pump turns that into a shutdown mid shift. The Cooling System section covers the coolant system check, coolant pump, thermostat and radiator cap.
Manual Section: Cooling System p. 597Cranks but will not fire
Dirty fuel is the usual reason a Yanmar 2TNV70-WYB spins over without catching. The fuel filter is called out for replacement every 500 hours, and the Periodic Maintenance section gives both the interval and the procedure behind it.
Manual Section: Periodic Maintenance p. 483Flat battery every Monday morning
A machine that needs a jump after sitting is usually a charging fault rather than a bad battery. The Alternator section covers alternator specifications, troubleshooting, components and wiring, and the Electrical System section gives the harness list you need to trace the circuit.
Manual Section: Alternator p. 639Frequently Asked Questions
Which machine and serial numbers does this manual cover?
The New Holland E10SR mini crawler excavator, publication 84363846, serial prefix PA03-05001 and up, built around the Yanmar 2TNV70-WYB diesel. Machine dimensions, weights and performance figures sit in the Specifications section, and boom, arm, bucket, dozer and swing geometry follows in Attachment Dimensions. p. 1
Does it include hydraulic pressure test procedures?
Yes. The Maintenance Standard and Test Procedure section covers hydraulic pressure measurement, engine speed measurement, travel, swing and attachment operating performance, and hydraulic system pressure is specified at 20.6 MPa. Those readings tell you whether a weak circuit is the pump, the control valve or a relief setting. p. 33
Are the service intervals and fluid specs in here?
The Periodic Maintenance section holds the maintenance schedule and the step by step procedures behind it, organized by running hours on the meter. The fuel filter, for example, is called out for replacement every 500 hours. Diesel fuel, engine oil and coolant requirements sit in General Service Information. p. 483
Are wiring diagrams included?
Partly. The Electrical System section explains how to read the circuit diagrams and connector codes, with the electrical equipment list and the harness and cable list. The Yanmar engine material at the back carries an alternator wiring diagram on page 648, and Electric Wiring adds wire resistance, battery cable resistance, wire sizing and AWG conversion. p. 111
