You get exploded views for every major assembly, plus page after page of torque tables so you're not eyeballing a clutch job. Set the 11-inch clutch/flywheel retaining bolts to 25 Nm on your 55-85 HP model, or 59 Nm on the 95 HP, and check gear shaft-to-seat clearance at 0.032-0.070 mm. Your machine's down, and forum guesses won't cut it here. Bookmarked by section, this PDF opens on your phone or tablet so you can pull the exact spec standing next to the tractor.

New Holland TD55D–TD95D Series Common Problems This Manual Covers
New Holland TD75D engine cranks over but won't start, stalls within minutes of running
Check the no-start and stalling troubleshooting steps on page 74. Verify the fuel filter cartridge is renewed and clean, then check injector pressure against the 260 to 272 bar (3770.96-3945.01 psi) setting on page 44. Bleed air from the fuel system before attempting to restart.
Manual Section: Engine Troubleshooting p. 74Hydraulic lift fails to raise fully or lifts implements unevenly under load
Check the pressure relief valve setting on page 478; it should cut in between 186 and 191 bar (2697.69-2770.21 psi). Inspect the hydraulic pump gear shafts, which must hold clearance of 0.032 to 0.070 mm (0.0013-0.0025 in.) per page 481. Replace worn seals and refill with clean hydraulic fluid.
Manual Section: Hydraulic Lift Troubleshooting p. 478Clutch slips under load or drags and sticks when pedal is depressed
Measure the main clutch driven plate thickness on page 300 and replace it if it falls outside the 10.2 to 10.8 mm (0.4016-0.4252 in.) range. Torque the clutch to flywheel retaining bolts to 25 Nm (221.27 Inch lb) on reassembly. Inspect friction surfaces for oil contamination before reinstalling.
Manual Section: Clutch Troubleshooting p. 300Transmission slips out of gear or is difficult to engage while plowing
Check the mechanical transmission fault diagnosis chart on page 324. Verify the range selector linkage fully engages at the 1:5.49 slow range reduction ratio before adjusting. Inspect the shift fork and synchronizer rings for wear, and top off transmission fluid to the correct level before retesting under load.
Manual Section: Transmission (Mechanical Transmission 12x4) Troubleshooting p. 324PTO disengages unexpectedly or won't hold the selected speed during field operation
Check the PTO fault diagnosis chart on page 449. Torque the PTO box fixing screws to 221 Nm (1956.02 Inch lb) and the guard fixing screws to 25 Nm (221.27 Inch lb). Inspect the clutch linkage and wiring harness for looseness that allows intermittent disengagement under load.
Manual Section: Power Take-Off Troubleshooting p. 449Frequently Asked Questions
What are the torque specifications for the main bearing cap bolts on a New Holland TD75D tractor?
For the main bearing cap bolts (M 14 x 1.5), the preliminary torque is 80 Nm (708.06 Inch lb), followed by an additional angular tightening of 90 degrees. This procedure is detailed on page 63 and page 108 of the manual. p. 63
What is the engine oil capacity for TD75, TD85, and TD95 HP models with a filter?
The engine oil sump capacity for TD75, TD85, and TD95 HP models, when including the filter, is 11.7 litres (2.57 Imp gal). This information is found in the consumables section of the manual. p. 39
What is the cooling system capacity for TD75, TD85, and TD95 HP models equipped with a cab?
For TD75, TD85, and TD95 HP models that include a cab, the cooling system capacity is 16 litres (3.52 Imp gal). This specification is listed under the consumables section. p. 39
What are the recommended valve clearances for normal engine running when the engine is cold?
For normal engine running with a cold engine, both the inlet and exhaust valve clearances should be set to 0.30 ± 0.05 mm (0.0118 ± 0.0020 in.). This ensures proper valve operation and engine performance. p. 43
