Guessing is expensive on these engines. Reuse a warped head or set nozzle pressure by feel and you pay for it with a second teardown. The manual replaces the guesswork with measured limits: compression-based troubleshooting, cylinder head distortion checks, trochoid pump measurement, injection pump and governor procedures.
